I've used one for each of my three children. The first two: no problem. The third is such a wiggler, though, that at seven months I heard her crying in the middle of the night (barely, it was so muffled!) and came in to feed her only to find her with her head wedged completely underneath the tightly-tied bumper. It was wet enough that it was clear she'd been stuck there unable to extricate herself for several minutes, even though she can roll and get up easily on her hands and knees.

The bumper was gone before I got back into bed and I haven't missed it (especially at sheet-changing time!!).

Ugh, all I can think is about the greasy dust that would settle on them. Our beautiful new glass vent hood is easy to clean, but needs it almost daily. Judging from the amount of grease that settles on it I can't imagine what would collect on that (gorgeous!) fabric.

We use the Marpac one, and have used the Conair, as well as a HEPA air filter. The HEPA filter is best, since it's pretty loud and has a very natural static-y sound, Marpac is second (not quite as loud, very small, makes a nice sound that is perfect for blotting out noise), and Conair is a distant third (although my five year old loves the crickets in the 'summer night' setting).
good luck!

I like the dresser/shelf combo idea (and the cool vintage dresser is great), but I think it eats up a lot of floor space. Love the room, though, and the baby fits right in!

ummm, cinnamon chips and coarse sugar. No no no... pink, white, and tellicherry peppercorns and allspice. No, wait...cardamom, cinnamon chips, and chunks of vanilla sugar. I'm sure of that one!

Oh, I would LOVE this for my three little ones!
Today I would've written down an episode with my five year old. We were rocking out in the kitchen and she asked who we were listening to. I offhandedly said "They Might be Giants," forgetting my two year old's fear of giants (and scuba divers, planetariums, and the like). She turned and reassured dear Jasper that she was sure they weren't. "Mommy says they might be giants, but I'm sure they're not! Giants are extinct!"

Of the collection, I really like the graphic nature of the giraffe blanket. Really, though, I love their clothes for babies! Unfortunately they only come in 0-3 and 3-6 mo sizes. Soon to be outgrown!

I'd love the green! It's stylistically much like my sherpani purse, but just different enough that green would be a lovely compliment.
I travel light. For the three kids (5, 2.5, 3 mos) I carry:

wipes
2 baby diapers
wallet
phone
hanky
extra paci

like I said. light. room for an extra baby outfit might be nice though... :)

In my experience, kids will eat what they eat. We make what we like and offer it to them. If you don't make a big deal out of it they eat better. Turn it into a power struggle and you're really in for it.
I would agree with the first commenter that there could only really be a benefit to sneaking vitamin-rich ingredients in. However, I think that then you're really missing the point that when you do that (a) you're adding negligible amounts of vitamins and (b) the child is missing the opportunity to taste/learn to appreciate different kinds of food.

This from a grown child who ate spaghetti-o's, kraft dinner, pizza, and carrots for her first so many years. My oldest will eat anything (she's a 4 1/2 year old sushi master!) my youngest (2) tends toward pickiness but still eats what we offer. Usually.

I upgraded to the Bob Revolution Duallie when we found out we're having a (surprise!) third child. It turns on a dime, is super-comfy for our 4 and 2 year olds, accommodates an infant carseat, AND our 4 year old can sit on the shelf over the front wheel if both seats are occupied and she's worn out.
So happy. It may be a jog-type stroller, but it's as functional at the mall as on the trail (which we do more anyway :)
For one, though, I love my little three-wheeled safety first stroller. $30 at Babies R Us.
