Also, before reserving a room in any hotel, check the hotel here http://www.bedbugregistry.com/. You can read people's reviews to see if the hotel where you want to stay has bedbugs or not.

A month ago my boyfriend went to Ohio for work. The day after he came home, he woke up with bug bites all over his back and arm. Bed bug bites are usually 3 in a row (they call it breakfast-lunch-dinner). We absolutely freaked out and thought that he got bedbugs in the hotel and bring them home. We washed and dried all our clothes, check luggage, wash pillows, mattress etc. We checked the mattress and headboard every night for the next month and never find anything. Then we learnt that bedbugs bites can appear even 4 days after they actually bite you. So probably he got bit in the hotel and didn't bring any home.

Moral of the story, ALWAYS check hotel rooms for bedbugs before sleeping in them, and always check your luggage (zippers and seams) when you come home. I spent the most stressful and scary month of my life.

I am from Spain, and the common thing here is eating in courses. Specially lunch. The most common thing is to eat 1. Soup/salad/vegetable dish, 2. Meat or fish, 3. Dessert, 4. Espresso.

Now that I am living in Canada with my boyfriend we don't usually do that because he thinks it's weird and too much food. But the truth is that people in NA eat pretty big plates, and they usually mix vegetables, meat or fish, and pasta in one dish. In Mediterranean countries we don't like to have different types of food in one plate. So at the end of the day, the quantity of food is pretty much the same.

Isabelle, that is a great advice, thank you. What university gym do you go to? I have been looking at YMCA and Energie Cardio but they look crappy and they are not cheap at all. I heard that they have tennis courts in McGill but I haven't look into that yet.

I just moved to Montreal from Spain and it has been quite a change for me. I am not used to the cold weather/snow and it is really depressing me. I have noticed that since I moved here I stopped doing all the things that I used to like, like playing tennis (no indoor courts in the whole city at an affordable price), jogging outside, swimming... It can be really hard. Someone told me about the light therapy. Someone here tried it?

Actually, it is better to put the salt right when you put the water in the pan. Salt helps the water to come to a boil way faster. On the other hand, oil does the opposite, so you should wait until the water is boiling to add the olive oil.
