Oh! Oh! Oh, that makes me so happy!

And I'm with tartanfrog. Bring out some Amy Butler ones.

I think some of you may underestimate Meg, she'll be a brilliant example of a Montessori parent. Her blog gives you a real sense of her calm and serene presence, and the ways she has incorporated the different themes into her classrooms. This isn't something she's just 'trying out' - it's a way of life - and I would wager that in 2 years time, the room will still be the same peaceful space without an overload of plastic toys.

I originally looked at this idea, but decided I didn't want to purchase an entirely new carseat.

Instead we bought a GoGo Kidz Travelmate, which attaches to almost any brand of carseat. You wheel it around the same as you would do a stroller. We used it for the first time this past weekend, flying from Australia to Canada. It worked brilliantly and was so much easier than lugging the carseat around on it's own and gate-checking the stroller. We wheeled it right to our seat on the plane and stored it in the overhead bin.

We found it on Amazon for $70 or so.

I tried using it for nursing and found that because the seat is so deep it made it a bit difficult (I'm 5'7" and couldn't find a comfortable position), so we switched it out with another chair in our house. However, my daughter is now a little older and it's back in her room since it's perfect for cuddles and storytime.

I can't really explain the feeling in the pit of my stomach when I read these are marketed to grieving parents. That seems so wrong...

But half the fun of being a kid is getting drips all over you and making a mess!

I'm in Australia and have seen one of Danny's previous shows from the UK. He's lovely to listen to and not bad to look at either.

Oh, and he knows his way around a kitchen, too :-)

I stripped back and repainted an old pine tallboy and change table for my daughters room mid last year. We used an oil-based enamel paint in high gloss. It's holding up well and we've had no chipping in the paint. I'd recommend it, but it does depend if you would like the glossy finish or not. It's more obvious on the drawers than the change table.

Hi again Kelly... I agree - Australia is a bit far to go for a mobile! But there's always Ebay... The link below shows a mobile quite similar to Audrey's (except with bees, not butterflies!), plus there are a heap of other different options available if you do a search.

We have a Quinny Buzz, with the bassinet and pushchair attachment, and so far it's been great. Easy to fold, looks great, and handles wonderfully. I do a lot of walking rather than driving. Was initially concerned about the storage, but it comes with it's own basket and a clip-on bag, which both fit underneath the stroller. The bag means I can keep a few handy items in there, saving on taking the diaper bag absolutely everywhere. Has been more tha sufficient thus far.

The only issue I can think of is that it can be a bit large when folded down, but driving a station wagon means it's not an issue for us. And as I said, I walk most places and only really need to put it in the car when my husband and I head out on weekends.

Kelly... There is a store in Melbourne called "Geppetto's Workshop". They've got lots of wonderful traditonal wooden toys, mobiles, and puppets. The mobile was something I saw and just had to have - it was a bit of an impulse buy!

For interests sake, here is the link for Gepetto's - http://www.geppettosworkshop.com.au/shopping/index.php

Audrey was born on Saturday 18 August, so she's now 10 days old or so. Thank you for the lovely comments about her nursery!
