I like the colour of the kitchen. It's quaint and yet clean and simple. The metal hanging wotsit adds to the sense of space - strangely, since there is so little. The living area is, of course, great. Did the owner do the mural? I like stools. The bathroom leaves a tad to be desired. I can see why there's no shower tray - it makes sense. I guess, if living alone, it's okay. Otherwise, it would be steamy and slippery - plus there's no storage/surface space in there. Why is it only Italians have bidets? So much upholstery! Perhaps too much in the kitchen - where the cooker appears to make a somewhat surprise appearance amid all those cushions and curtains etc. House Tour: Kyle's Jamaica Plain Gem, 1 Year Later! Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts | Apartment Therapy Boston |

Hi - I like your pad. It has a happy, family feel to it. It's not perfect - which is great. I also like the use of yellow. I also like Kartell - I notice you have the odd thing of theirs. I have looked at your blog and was delighted to find some nice, modern poetry on there. Have bookmarked it for further, leisurely reading later on! I have also tried using the dining table as a desk - it just doesn't work if you have hardware, or use loads of books - which you can't leave permanently there. I brought a desk and chair in and strangely the room feels bigger now that the living space has specific zones for specific purposes. The way the shelves work is key to the functionality of this living space, I think. Without the transparent shower curtain, the bathroom wouldn't have been to my taste. Too brown. But, with that curtain, it's another matter! Honestly! I spotted a hoover! Ha ha!! I don't personally think really expensive kitchen stuff is important. Everything spoils sooner or later. Some posters on this site have some novel kitchens created simply, by themselves... Maybe in a tiny pad such as this, though, efficiency is key - hence the super efficient and clean, shiny kitchen area. The red desk is very nice. Without that fireplace, the space would be cold. The dog is, of course, beautiful. I hope he gets lots of walks. House Tour: Jay's Chelsea Renovation New York | Apartment Therapy New York |

PS. I've just noticed the floor is grey, not white. I like that. Also, the absence of a telly. Like that, too. Dean Steve's Rustic Railroad House Tour | Apartment Therapy New York |

I like your home and think the effort and imagination you put into it is meritorious. I love the yellow lamps and the wall hangings. Your sensitive appreciation of color is evident in these, particularly by the sofa. I also love the picture of the ship in the kitchen and the bare essentialness of that space. It's true that, as others have said, it could appear cold. The sofa and dining area look uninviting and and the nakedness of the floor stares up at you, despite the rugs - and yet, the space looks too small for you to have colored the walls (which I wouldn't have done either) although the floor maybe.. still, I think I can see why you stuck to white - apart from the fact that you rent - there appears to be an underlying element of the aesthetic purist in your design - which I admire. I love the architecture in New York (I myself am from London originally). Is your apartment always so clean and tidy? I like it because - apart from the order - it's homely and demure. Also, you manage to use blue and grey a lot without forgetting to add color and gaiety with flowers and other decorative effects. If I were your dog, I'd be v. proud of my owners' pad. It's amazing to think you've been there just two months. Good on you both. Brian Riccardo's Lower East Side Apartment House Tour | Apartment Therapy New York |

Italian furniture such as Molteni & Co., Desalto, Cassina etc. is beautiful, but it is priced for the rich and not for the average Italian, whose wages average among the lowest in Europe. PS.
