Spendid! I used a very similar paint on a few old bathroom vanities of ours and the difference was mind-boggling! Love it. Before & After: Dated Dresser Redo |

Whatever you do, DON'T SPRAYPAINT CABINETS... PAINT THEM! This will require some nitty gritty work but will be well worth it. You will first need to SAND them down, then PRIMER them before applying several coats of PAINT. Updates for Country Kitchen on a Limited Budget? Good Questions |

As a MCM enthusiast, I cringed to think of what this remodel might reveal as my eyes glanced over the '60s era woodgrains which, though dated, still exude uniqueness not often found today. I almost didn't have the guts to open the 'new' photos. Glad I did! Excellent work in keeping with the MCM aesthetic (you can't make that stuff out of nothing- if you've got the bones for it, strut it!) while bringing it into the 21st century. Well done! Great post! Love the idea of adding interesting pieces as containers (ie. cigar boxes) and old champagne buckets as garbage bins... excellent! Where to Save and Where to Splurge: Bathroom Style on A Budget |

I admit it... I"m biased! Love this house, but it was the dining room that drew me in because, well, it looks like MY dining room (to a degree!) Though rather than elect an actual Saarinen tulip table, we went with a cheap Ikea Doksta. Like you, we collected a set of 4 midcentury teak/walnut chairs w/ black vinyl that look stunning against the white sleek table. <3 Marina Replicates Her Boston Home House Tour |

In my experience, old vanities clean up very well with a nice dose of paint and new hardware. Don't just slab on the paint, however! Check out video tutorials to strip the old cabinet and doors, apply paint or varnish and be pleased with the outcome. 5 Places To Skimp On Your Bathroom Reno |

I love the reno and the fact that the space now works for this family- the finishes and fixtures are spot on! But that old archway, despite how dark and imposing it may have been, lent a unique architectural vibe to the room that is seldom seen anymore. As someone else suggested, I would have been inclined to keep it and perhaps paint it white to brighten the space... yes, at the peril of having the open floor plan. But doesn't matter what I think... glad that the owner loves the new space! From Scary to Sublime: A Gorgeous Gut Renovation in Australia |

I agree with the person who proposed countering brown walls with white: white wall tiles half-way up the wall, fixtures, flooring and vanity. Should I Paint a Tiny Bathroom Dark Brown? Good Questions |

So cozy yet fresh and airy! I love how the owners weren't afraid to juxtapose midcentury and modern pieces within the context of a 200+ yr old farm house... LOVE IT! Chris & Erin's Farmhouse Add-On House Tour |

No better family retreat could there be! It is visually stunning. More than this, it is clear that it offers a true respite to the family- an emotional sanctuary like no other. Thanks for sharing :) My Parents' Beloved Lake House House Tour |

*APPLAUSE*!!! Love this home and love the decor they have carefully chosen. For such a gem of a midcentury modern, it would be easy to do 'all the usual suspects' (Eames chairs galore). Instead, they chose a nice, eclectic sampling and combined it all with lovely, diverse textures on the walls and floors. Love! Julie & Rob's Current Twist on Mid Century Modern House Tour |

As someone w/ shiny white laminate floors in our kitchen (IKEA), it's true- they show every last crumb, dog hair and scuff mark imaginable! That said, I do love the look. I'm unsure how long white paint with last in comparison to our shiny laminate- at least I can wet Swiffer ours regularly... and do I do it regularly! Looks great, but isn't the most practical :( Before & After: Floor from Worn Out to White & Bright Modern Jane Design |

Great choice! As a kid, I grew up vacationing on the beaches of Florida where our family had a little spot with green-painted kitchen cabinets like these! It was so refreshing and reinvigorating to the soul to enter that kitchen each morning! Color Inspiration: Going Green |

Great stuff.... for some time now, I've been trying to decipher a way to showcase hundreds of photos on a wall without framing them all- I was thinking a very nice, clear plexi-glass may work but need some inspiration! Inspiration: Displaying Travel Photos |

Great use of various 'storage' pieces throughout the home! I especially love the idea of using the Ikea cubby shelves w/ wicker baskets to store and display alcohol and wine. Lots of great items from 'box' stores (ie Lowes, Ikea) that anyone can do w/ a little inspiration and thought! Tanja & Mark’s Contemporary Live/Work Home House Tour |

As a motorcyclist myself, I too have a fair share of misc bike parts around our abode. That said, I have not brought in an entire bike due to the 'smell factor'. Bikes (that are being used in any capacity) smell of the lovely fragrances of oil, gasoline and rubber- not exactly the aroma's you want in your home. If you have an old bike completely drained of its liquids and never to be used, go for it. If not, you'll be sorry. Bringing the Motorcycle Inside Inspiration Roundup |
