How Often Do You Change Your Sheets?

I've become a fan of housework since discovering that it has the right combination of mindless repetition and change of pace to distract myself from the pain of an already medicated to the max migraine.

I like the hyper-organization, but not the open storage. I never seem to keep the stuff on my kitchen shelves look organized.

I left behind a garden and house. The garden was harder to part with than the house. There was little about the house that I could change, but the garden I built from de-sodding on up. I was able to have some containers at the apartment I moved into.
Now, I again have a house and garden. If I have to move, I'll take a few plants - daylilies, hosta - that I have been collecting over the past few years. The roses and other shrubs will have to stay. The azaleas are coming with me no matter how far down the roots have gone.

Moving Dilemma: Leaving a Garden Behind

I looked for an apartment that specifically had high ceilings, tall windows, and hardwood floors. I found it and lived there almost two years. I would have loved to live there forever, but financial considerations dictated otherwise. Leaving was heart-wrenching. But now I have a house with high ceilings, tall windows, hardwood floors, and a husband with all the qualities I was looking for. I had to let go of the small but perfect apartment to find a place and a person to share my life. Net gain.

I prefer my Television, DVD player, etc. out in the open. At a former apartment, my television was on a pedestal.

Paper is a big problem in my house. I use expandable file folders with flaps for receipts and paid bills. For all the documents related to big things, such as our house or our health, we designate an entire drawer in our built-in and throw things in. It isn't well organized, but we can find what we need with a little digging. When was the last time you needed the escrow paperwork for your house?

Our house has three bedrooms - Master bedroom, his room, and my room. I don't have to deal with his computers, he doesn't have to deal with my sewing projects. It works very well for us.
