Ha! We play this game at my house too (without actually drinking, but you know...). After 30 minutes, we'd be absolutely plastered!

The closet joke always makes me cringe. But I can't stop watching.

I go through a set of Target Threshold sheets about every six months because they pill and then tear at the foot of the bed. But they are cheap and soft, plus I change up my colors frequently anyway. I wait for them to go on sale, purchase with my Target debit card and get a nice discount, so I don't really care that they have a short life.

I also have the West Elm frayed edge sheets but they don't fit on our bed as well, as we have a topper on our mattress, the fitted sheet is a bit too small and often comes undone.

The most durable cheap sheet set that I have found is Ikea, but it's too much of a trek to get there to justify the cheap price.

I guess people are more likely to imprint a key in clay than take a picture and send it in? I guess? How can they assist law enforcement in the case of fraud if all my info is deleted shortly after receiving my key?

Maybe I'm uptight about this in general though, because I would also never give a key to a maintenance worker to get into my house when I'm not home.

I've always had my keys duplicated at the hardware store and have never had any problems with them not working in my door. Is that common?

I'm in Seattle and have had mixed experiences. I've found most people are selling items because they're moving, so it's usually a panic to get stuff out. So if you can't pick it up THAT SECOND, don't worry about trying to get it at all. I arranged with a seller to purchase an Ikea Hemnes dresser for very cheap. I emailed her within an hour of her posting, she agreed that I could come pick it up after work (about 2 hours after initial contact). I texted her when I was leaving to let her know on my way. I drove from downtown Seattle to a suburb about 30 minutes away only to find when I got there that someone had already taken it. Her explanation was that they lived closer so could get it sooner. She had my cell phone number, we had been texting and calling up until that point, so I was pretty baffled and irritated that I had to fight traffic back across Lake Washington for nothing. That experience really turned me off from Craigslist and I wouldn't drive out of my way again.

However, I've sold two large items (after downsizing to a smaller place) and had wonderful experience with the buyers. I got a great price on my items and the buyers seemed really appreciative and happy with the deal.

So I'll still check CL before purchasing a new furniture item, but I look for more clues about the flakiness of the seller now.

I really don't mean this to sound judgmental AT ALL, but I'm genuinely curious. I often hear parents talking about how they wouldn't normally eat unhealthy foods (Goldfish, crackers, mac and cheese, fries..whatever) but they are talking about feeding them to their kids. I'm childless, so I'm thinking maybe it's because kids are such picky eaters, but if an adult wouldn't eat something so unhealthy, why feed it to your kids?

I'm not into this sort of cutesy clever self-indulgence, and that doesn't make me a negative person. It's just my opinion and stating different opinions in the comments is what makes life fun!

I have noticed a lot of side-by-side couples in wedding pictures recently. Where they're standing almost American Gothic style next to each other. I find this pose (done headless in the above examples) super annoying.

I read recently that coconut oil is a solid below 75 degrees. My house is never over 65 and I'm lazy so when I'm cooking I usually skip the solid coconut oil and just use the liquid oil. But I'd love to try it on popcorn, so that is a good motivator.

Yes! I felt the exact same thing when I finished Queen of Versailles. Couldn't believe I made it through to the end (not really my genre), surprised that I enjoyed it, but most of all I felt this huge wave of relief.

My vote would be for the Hunger Games, as it seemed so imaginative, uncluttered and original.

I love Amazon Fresh (Seattle) for everything but meat and produce. I usually get those items locally since we have great Farmer's Markets also. But if I see the perfect dinner recipe online at work, and I'm out of an ingredient, I can place the Amazon Fresh order in the morning and have it waiting for me at home. Can't beat that!
