Such a cool apartment Chloe! And my little painting looks great there.

Zinc Details on Fillmore St. San Francisco still has a lot of my 49 Mile Drive paintings, and as Chloe said, we always have them at 3 Fish Studios.

Incidentally, if anyone is in San Francisco tonight, Friday, March 12, 6 - 10 for the party, or tomorrow 11 - 5 for the open house, please come by the studio for our grand opening in our awesome new space. 610 22nd Street at 3rd (same building as Serpentine restaurant), 3rd floor, suite 304.

We'll have lots of art, wine, and music, and everyone is welcome!

Jesse Lu, maybe you should take your own advice. Quoting from one of your other AT comments:

"Remember 'if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all'? AT is a community, I wish people would treat it that way."

The living room looks like a cosy reading nook, but the bedroom is awful - spooky branches, cluttered nightstand, oddly placed tiny art.

Hi! I am the 49 Mile Drive artist (and Julianna, I always give Rex May credit on the back of my pieces).

They are not prints, they are original paintings. I have a little cardboard template that I trace around with pencil on stretched canvas and than paint with acrylic paint. I do them in all colors, not just blue, orange, and white.

As it happens, I have a show coming up with 49 of these paintings at the wonderful store The Curiosity Shoppe (http://www.curiosityshoppeonline.com/), 855 Valencia in San Francisco. It opens 6:00 pm, Friday October 10th with a party. Come on out!

My husband Eric (http://rewitzer.typepad.com/the_lonely_robot/) will also have limited edition one-color lino prints of the sign at the show. You can buy black versions here: http://3fishstudios.com/live/shop/gallery/1733), and there will be blue and orange versions available exclusively at The Curiosity Shoppe for the duration of the show.

I too LOVED her logs, and I had a lovely time chatting to the very charming, funny Erika.

I like the suggestion of tomato or orange, in high gloss, like Chinese lacquer. If you can't find a space for it in the house, open up your garden or patio with it.

I want to live there too. oh wait.. I do!!

Looks like we left a ?? by the desk in the Style question. It's a McDowell Craig vintage steel desk.

This was really fun. Thanks Elizabeth!

We have that lamp too. I love it, but it's a real dust trap.

Hi, Thanks for the mention Lily.

Julianna, I do credit Rex May on the back of each piece. I love that his name is so close to Rex Ray, another of my local favorites!

Wow, nice work. It is SCARY how much the before pics remind me of the apartment I lived in in the Sunset around 1994/5 at Juday and 12th. I actually thought it was the same place for a minute. That would be a trip!

Thanks for the plug! Saturday is going to be great. I hung 70 new paintings last night, and they look really good in the space.

We'll have wine, great music, and snacks. The Salon is close to tons of awesome restaurants too, so come on out!
