I gifted my plants to a good friend with a green thumb. She was happy and the plants live on! Funny how sad it is though to leave houseplants behind...

Great job!
May I ask where you got the rug in the before picture? I tried to order this rug from AllModern and the one they sent did not match the photos online.

Actually I would get rid of the chairs on the porch and get much smaller round pots.

No almond storm door! Paint it black like the door as to not draw attention to it.

I would however paint the shutters white to match the other trim on the house, and paint the window framing and pane trims black. I'd leave the white bench, and paint the pots black and fill them with bright green potato plants and flowers. =D

Paint that stairway! Now! It's the only thing you can see... It really should fade into the rest of the walls and trim. I would put a big bold painting on that large wall. I'd use several different flor tiles in similar hues to make a colorful runner. Voila!

I have to say as an industrial designer, this magazine has been missing the mark for a very long time. It's sad to see a an icon in our industry disappear, however, I can not say that I will miss it. The closure just widens a huge gaping hole in the market. There is no magazine that meets the needs of industrial designers with engaging practical content without an elitist tone. Even amidst the print industry chaos I believe there is a real opportunity for a new standard....
