In most parts of the world, eggs aren't refrigerated. I lived in Italy for a large part of my life and eggs were sold in the stores on shelves. We would get ours from a local farmer, always kept at room temperature. I don't quite understand the reasoning behind the comments that say once they've been refrigerated they should always be kept refrigerated. If it were me, I would probably keep and use the eggs. But, maybe I'm more of a risk-taker and I've never had any food borne illness.

Right now I'm really into vintage demitasse cups from hotels or restaurants. The first one I found was at an antique store. It was from the Master Robert Motel and had an image of a horse in front of a pyramid. I immediately fell in love with it. I now have a few more from various countries and restaurants/hotels. Plus they are useful, so I can't count them as clutter, as I live in a small space.

The weirdest collection I've ever had... was as a young kid when I first started losing my teeth, I couldn't stand to part with them- so I would put them in a little jar and leave a note for the tooth fairy requesting she leave the tooth and still give me the cash!

This is fabulous! I love how it is vibrant and colorful without being garish.

Good question MelissaC5. I, too, find something so satisfying about turning pages and a shelf replete with books is such a pleasant sight. Of course I can't remember the last time I purchased a new book, I pretty much stick to used book stores. (I do love a pretty first edition for just a couple of bucks, thanks Half Priced Books!)
