It doesn't look like a child's room at all with all that white and everything so high up! Maybe there's another room filled with childrens books and building blocks and art supplies where kids can be kids.

I once heard someone say that you can only be in one room at a time - great job you've done of organizing such a small space! I especially like the pleasing wall color, the floral-designed cups in the kitchen, the silhouette in the bathroom, the typewriter print and most of all, that you watch movies on your laptop so that you have room for your vintage treasures.

Thanks for all the wonderful feedback! I do have a huge cat and a really big fish whose name is Patrick. I've lived with them both for over fifteen years now that I think of it.

Yes, Bhavna that is a Raja Ravi Verma painting I picked up in Jaipur this January on my first trip to India. The folks at Sausalito Framing did an amazing job of framing it.

I do have a fascination for Indian culture as evidence in my blog - http://outofpaperblogspotcom.blogspot.com/

This is definitely the way to travel! I had the best vacation ever in October 2005 when my friend Patrick invited me to join him on his "peniche" on the Oise river and we spent three days going through the locks and tying up to visit farmers markets and sleep at night. We'd drift with the swans till we reached the Seine at Conflans and took another day or two to reach Paris. There's nothing quite like coming into Paris on the Seine floating by the houseboat communities and the Eiffel Tower till we reached the Port d'Arsenal and docked just feet away from the Bastille and all the wonderful shops and markets of the 11th arondissment near the Marais. I could walk to Pere La Chaise cemetary or the Louvre - it made me fall in love with Paris all over again!
