I'd also lose the fake grass and tiny vases stuck to the mirror. It just seems like clutter. West Elm has some really nice recycled jersey bathmats in grey, plus some with cool patterns:

A very soft, pale grey pretty much always makes a space look nice. I like the idea of framing the retro ads, as long as they complement the space. Good luck!

Ugh. I agree that this is the stuff of McMansions, but we are overlooking one other niche market: stuffy, pretentious college administration buildings! I can imagine all of this furniture at my old alma mater.

I totally agree with karen at number4. Don't go completely white, just mix in some of that pretty grey you're using on the walls. You don't want to feel boxed in, and using a much lighter shade of your wall color will help you make sure that the walls and ceiling complement each other. Good luck!

I will never understand the concept of that shelf headboard. I move a lot in bed, and would knock everything down.

I'm with kinyama up there. I think it's ridiculous to change pillowcases every day, especially if you're like me and you have to lug all of your laundry across the apartment complex every time you wash a load. I try to wash my sheets every two weeks, but sometimes I forget and it's three.

Both are creepy.
