I was really allergic to cats, and I also have asthma. My ex-boyfriend had two cats, and I eventually got used to it, after taking prescription meds. I would never make someone give up their pets for me, but I guess that's just me. I also find it odd that this person would give up her cat so easily, but can't part with the furniture and rugs.
