Man, I have been on a massive home organization stint the last couple of months- I have basically moved into a mancave (emphasis on the cave part) and it needs a lot of love. No More Excuses: Confidence Boosting Tips for Hosting Gatherings at Home |

I agree. I think a lot of black and white here could help. Also get all the tacky goodwill art that you can and cover that hallway up. It will be less overwhelming if you minimize the square footage of ugly showing. I am so sorry about that hideous chair rail molding nonsense. My boyfriend and I are normally on really different sleep schedules so I got him a pair of wireless headphones for Christmas last year so he can watch TV as loud as he wants in the living room without waking me up at 3 AM. I get to use them too on the weekends when he's asleep til the early afternoon and I am dying to catch up on my TV shows and not have to live in silent fear of waking him up. It's been a great investment. Sanity Saver: Wearing Headphones At Home |

Oh my dear god. This is probably the best house tour I've ever seen on here. It's comfortably cluttered and there is just enough whimsy and seriousness mixed in. I love it. I love it so so much. This feels like a home, not a staged house. Leila & Buff's Beautiful Beach Abode House Tour |

I've been using an old plastic container from those travel/purse/small size q-tip packages to hold my ear plugs. I wrap them around my hand and put them in the plastic box (maybe 2 x 3 x 1 inch). I never have a cord tangle problem and it saves the buds from getting gross or damaged from getting pulled on. CordCruncher Headphone Prevents Stress By Tangled Cables |

I'd like to throw in my 2 cents to make sure you're at the airport the full 2 hours ahead of time. We were in Madrid coming back the the states and got there 1 and a half hours early because we were running late and they wouldn't let us check our bags which meant that all our whiskey and olive oils from our European vacation got thrown away because they wouldn't let us carry them on. I'm a firm believer in the AC but I wish office buildings especially would not run them so cold. You only need a few minutes of super cool air to cool off once you come inside from 90+ degree weather. After that it's just overkill. I understand you have to keep it cool inside, but if it is 90+ wouldn't 80 inside feel better than 68-72? It's too drastic a change and helps people get sick from the extreme temp changes. Also, I'd rather not have to wear sweaters in the summer time. It's absurd. On, Off or In Between? Air Conditioning |

Yeah I'm sorry but I'm with some of these other people: I'm holding onto my old mix tapes. So many memories and honestly, I'm not so crazy about getting rid of everything that connects us to the past for the sake of having a sleek, minimalistic apartment. That's fine for some people, but some of us have to carry the torch of the past so that people generations from now know what we were all about - and not just through descriptions on wikipedia.
