Very pretty but I'm so disappointed that we didn't actually get a house tour. Beautiful accessories and cute dogs but I have absolutely no feel for the flow of the home.

I just got to the new place, having done many versions of The Big Sort in the process. First, we looked at everything that we already knew we wanted to get rid of but had been too lazy to do so. Then, a harder edit of the duplicates, the gifts we never really liked, the items we held onto but weren't sure quite why.

The garage sale came and we were $250 richer, with a little more room to breathe. We then did another edit, seeing how much better we were doing with less and knowing that we still had a long way to go.

The extra money is allowing us to upgrade a few items, which makes us more willing to get rid of the bits of crap. Even now, as I'm unpacking I'm finding pieces still that I believe I'm ready to part with. I just have to do it soon, so I can make regular Sorts part of my routine, not just a daunting task at the beginning of each new stage.

Love that you started with a layout. Love that it's a version of "minimal" that I could perhaps achieve someday.... How I'd love to just have the things that I love, keep it organized, and yet not feel as though nothing can be touched! The paint color in the bathroom is beautiful! I also love that this tour included a picture of the resident; Thuy, thank for sharing your home and your self!

Dog-love aside, I was charmed by this spot. LOVE the seating arrangement and light fixture in the bay window. The hanging plants to frame the windows look great too. I've got some giraffes that might wind up on a shelf like your bunnies, too!
