Wow, this apartment is stunning! I love that the everyday things you use are displayed so lovingly, almost as decorations. And I also have to say that this post is so lovingly written, too. Carolyn, you did a great job capturing Meg and Andy's personalities and the feel of their home. Awesome tour, all the way around! Meg & Andy's Radical Possibilities House Tour |

I appreciate this post. There's an IKEA near us, and we rarely go there. I just can't get excited about their products, and shopping there is eerily similar to strolling through an airport. 10 Alternatives to Popular Kids IKEA Products |

Definitely try to go on a weekday and get there when it opens. IKEA reminds me of an airport, and people walk so slowly through the showroom that it's hard to navigate. I go with a list, take the shortcuts, and don't spend time there. I find the experience suffocating. And I know for a fact that people take their children there when the weather is bad, because I've been invited to go. It's not a mall, but some people use it like one. 4 Tips for Getting In & Out of IKEA Faster |

Wow! What a lovely tour for the dreariness of January! I've been on the fence about adding some bolder patterns to my home, and you've inspired me to do it. This is a gorgeous house. Ruthie & Will's Eclectic Nashville Charmer House Tour |

This tour was too short! Your apartment is gorgeous and you hoard beautiful pieces! I was intrigued with the rose tufted velvet cushions at the foot of the bed in the first picture. Are those chairs? Eva's Eclectic & Elegant Pad House Tour |

I LOVE pink and think all of these rooms are lovely. To me, blue is almost a neutral, and it is fun to see the two colors working so well together. There's nothing baby about these rooms at all. Pink and Blue, All Grown Up |

Definitely Etsy! I just use the boring old pillows that came with my sofa and buy new covers in the right sizes when I get bored. It's a great way to save money, and buying Etsy products means that they aren't the same as everyone else's. :) Sources for Similar Pillows? Good Questions |

I found a blue velvet tufted chair on Craigslist that is really retro and French-inspired at the same time. I put it in my bedroom and made a small reading nook, and it's now my favorite little spot in my house. This is a great post and the photo of the candles is so gorgeous. I would think to recycle them, too, or give them out for people to store water in. My husband is a homebrewer, and he would love a bunch of empty water jugs. :) Reuse Ideas for 5-Gallon Water Jugs? Good Questions |

I love white counters, and Carrara marble is so gorgeous. We recently redid our kitchen, and I had to compromise with my husband and get dark granite counters, but everything else is light and bright, so they are a nice contrast.
