Good Questions

I pre-soak my beans between 12-24 hours, and change the water 3 times. "Oligosaccharides" is the stuff in beans that make ya toot.... The water whisks a lot of it away.

I've been eating beans every day since December, and toot less now than before!

Having to cook all of my recipes without dairy, egg or gluten, Xantham gum is very necessary for any half-decent results.

No one in my household has any issues digesting it... And they better not, or the next recipes may taste too salty due to my tears in the batter....

I don't have the measurements, but one of my kids can't have eggs or dairy.... A good dose of pineapple can be used to substitute all that sugar too. The rice milk also emulates some of the egg taste too.

Frozen Pineapple (I keep mine in the freezer - no need for ice cubes!)
Rice Milk
Vanilla extract
Dash of Orange juice
Dash of Sugar

YUMMY!!!!

Buy used Research

Just bought a used stove and microwave after my range bit the dust after six years. The cost to repair it was just under the original cost. My "new" appliances cost under half the amount of the original range, and they are better makes/models.

Buy used unless you can invest in professional quality appliances...

We replaced our tap and sink (almost) a few weeks ago and the water pressure increased by double! What a time saver!

The hole for our previous sink was too large to place our new sink in, which was a shame because we loved our new one (http://rona.ca/img/product/full/1297070.jpg). :(

I'm working on my own business developing play houses and structures and TRUST me... It may seem like a lot of $$$, but with quality craftsmanship along with cost of materials, $7000 isn't a lot.... It seems like an excessive amount to pay for play houses of this type, but a lot of people will pay this type of money - it's for their kids!

I've been looking at so many houses lately and find that idiots design kitchens. These days, I'm spending about 75% of my days in my kitchen... I wish mine was as spacious as this! Nice work!

We imported 4 bottles of the stuff (we live in Ottawa, Canada) and saved SOOO much money on doing laundry - it lasted over a year, and that's WITH cloth diapers.

Like you, I have a little one to worry about. Seal up your house and kill the rest with poison. Mouse droppings can be deadly, especially to kids who crawl around in those corners where mice like to roam.

I found the Brita a little clunky - Switching from regular-brita-spray seemed to loosen the system each time, having to stop to tighten it again.
Also, our water pressure is low (about 18 psi), so a glass of water took about 15 seconds or so to fill. When you have 5 people waiting for a glass of water on a hot summer day, that 15 seconds is precious.
Combined with these two faults was the price of replacing the filter.
I have recently switched back to my good-ole Brita jug.

Ounce prevention = pound cures.

Drain your pasta into your bathroom sink and tub drains every time. At least boil some water a couple of times a month and do this.

That'll take care of all that crap from building up in your drains.
