whoa, this comment section reminds me of a comment section about people freaking out about guests coming over when a new baby is born... yeah, somethings people bring aren't perfect, but what ever happened to "it's the thought that counts" - if someone remembers a dog, that's a nice gesture, or they want to contribute food even if it wasn't in your plans... I dunno, maybe I just have chill friends and an easy dog, but I always figure the more, the merrier - more dog toys, more food out, more drinks... yeah, not everything is awesome that they get, but it's still nice to think that person made an effort. 5 Things You Should Never Bring as a Hostess Gift |

I love ordering tator tots or onion rings tossed in buffalo sauce. It's not a healthier option, but it is damn good. Go Beyond Wings This Sunday: 5 Other Recipes with Buffalo Sauce |

For lemons and limes I also suggest squeezing them a bit... if they are hard then they won't squeeze well and probably aren't very juicy. If they are a squishy then they tend to be juicier. How To Select the Best Produce: Fruit Home Hacks | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

My former apt had Ikea cabinets and although the look was nice, some of the corners got warped and started peeling off if they were near heat sources (near the stove and oven), and they couldn't have been more than 5 years old. As my dad says, sometimes something that seems cheap ends up costing you a lot, and if their quality isn't going to last for the long term, maybe its not such a good investment. I have a question about some of those things that are being listed... do they have to be stored in the fridge? Specifically: soy sauce, sesame oil, siracha?... I don't keep any of those things in the fridge and I haven't any any trouble. For Siracha, I use to keep it in the fridge but once when I needed more space, I closely looked at the label and didn't see anything that suggested it had to be stored in the fridge (whereas other hot sauces did). I cleaned everything out and threw out a lot of jars/bottles from the fridge and a lot of old spices or consolidated them. I was glad to finally clear out the freezer because there was a Popsicle spill that I had not wanted to deal with before. This is a good exercise for me because over the summer I broke up with my live in boyfriend, and he took a lot of responsibility for grocery shopping and daily cooking, but now it's all on me and I need to readjust to cooking and shopping for one and keeping tabs of what I actually have on hand for quick, tasty, and healthy meals.
