That's just really, really wrong. I thought breaking antique dishes for mosiacs was bad enough....but this...librarians everywhere are weeping.

I loved this post - brilliant ideas. The statues was my favourite. It's good to think outside the fox.

Now might be a good time to Amend the Preservation Codes. There are many, many examples of Building Codes, especially in Heritage Areas that restrict the outside paint colours for a variety of reasons.

Vibrant, warm and very neat with that many people even! Love the highchair in the kitchen, it's gorgeous, I've never seen anything like it.

Also adored the fence painting.

Davina Porter reading the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon is the most beautiful narration I have ever heard. How she can go from formal English to gutter Scottish Gaelic and from man to woman is astonishing. Her Irish accent is pure genious and I am embarrassed to say that I am in love with the main male character's voice - Jamie. Even though it's read by a woman. Davina Porter is at the pinnicle of the narrator's art.

That is the best use of a loft space I have ever seen. Ever. The map drawers are brilliant as are the reclaimed sink and stove. I really love this place. It has a warm, wonderful feel to it and I hope you will be very happy for many years to come.

That is a brilliant home! I'm keeping a snapshot of the window room as it is harmonius, peaceful and perfectly set up. And yet it feels like a lot of fun and living goes on there! The kitchen! Love it! I can only imagine how good the food must taste in that gorgeous room. One more thing or three...the light fixture and sconces are articles of great beauty and the bathroom is absolutely perfect - it would be a sacrilege to spit toothpaste in that sink. Peace and long life in your beautiful home.

Crowded House song titles. Very cool. Only a diehard fan would have gotten that. I zoomed in to look at the juxtiposition of the unsmiling man and....there they were!

Funny about the stools in the kitchen. My Dad has those exact type from a salvage job tearing down an old 1940's University building. They truly are comfortable and versatile.
