I don't see what crib bumpers are for except decoration. I don't have it and don't need it. If parents fight decor versus safety, well, it's their choice. To avoid limbs getting caught between crib slats is to swaddle your baby or put him/her in a wearable blanket, as many have mentioned already before. It's Official: AAP Says No Crib Bumpers |

To put mattress on the floor is not complicated? Where does the bed frame go to then? I assume you must have a giant bedroom to have room for both bed frame and it's mattress :) Bed sharing is extremely unsafe if parents are obese, heavy sleepers/overly exhausted or smokers. it's advised that if co-sleeping, the best way to go is to sleep with mother only. Where does daddy go to then? Or are you, co-sleeping mothers, ditch daddy "for a while"? Generally, it is not safe to co-sleep if baby is under 9 months of age. 15 Baby Money Traps To Avoid According to Mint.com |

Very good article on Mint and I love the manner it's written in, for those hypersensitive, germofobic, obsessed parents to wake up. All these items are ridiculous, and make no sense. I am expecting; trying to keep my baby list as minimal as possible. All these things makes you feel like an idiot who can't raise a kid without fussy bull***t and takes the real pleasure of having a child while turning it into high maintenance, stuff surrounded, no touching (germs!), no feeling, and sterile childhood. 15 Baby Money Traps To Avoid According to Mint.com |

O my, this is amazing rug and I think it will look gorgeous with white furniture. I agree with earlier comment, that now it's all about accessories. I think metallics would work really nice. And fresh flowers in purple, orange and magenta :) Eclectic, Fun Room with This Rug? Good Questions |

The idea is great. Execution is not - too much color busy and it still does not look like bench, but three chairs with a long cushion on. Some sort of connecting element would have been helpful - maybe same color for backs and legs or additional cushion for backs. DIY Bench: Three Become One Kindall's Creations |

I planned to have an instant oatmeal that I brought to work today. But it bursted all out of a cup in microwave. So I cleaned the mess and had a chocolate bar from vending machine for lunch. Which was good, but not what I needed. :( What Did You Eat for Lunch Today? Brown Bag Meals |

I think color palette is a bit off- I would have gone with more of orange-red, maybe couple shades of it to bring richness to the room. The chosen red is extremely intense and matchy-matchy in every piece of decor. My Room: Xavier North Scituate, RI |

Just curious - where these cribs are coming from? I notice them in every second nursery tour - is it like a Expedit book-case version of a crib. Is it a new trend? My Room: Maya Vancouver, British Columbia |

I must admit it's quite difficult for me to get American obsession about sodas. I do understand kids liking it, but adults? A fizzy, sugar or saccharine loaded stuff? Makes you bloated, burp and constantly thirsty. Ruins your teeth (so you spend extra $$ for whitening procedures at dentist's office). My in-laws did not drink anything except sodas, punches (this is even weirder; I tried it it tastes like crap) all their lives, never water; until they had severe health issues, but completely refuse to relate it to soda ("it's just soda, for god's sake"). So they were forced to quit, but struggle a lot. Instead they drink gallons of sweet tea - which is not much better - lots of sugar and caffeine. They are both obese. My mom and grandma used to do preserves this way while growing up and still doing (Northern Europe). I find freezer jams much fresher and tastier than cooked ones. Not mentioning less of mess and very time efficient. It took us 2 hours to prepare for freezer 6 kilos of strawberries. Preserve Summer All Year Long: Freezer Jam |
