I do this in a crockpot, bain mairie style. I got it somewhere else off the web. I think it's a little safer bacteria wise, cause the oatmeal is on constant heat. Search for crockpot oatmeal, it should come up.

Hmmm... seems to me this is a rip off of the company Oras. See here: http://www.mvbabyandkids.com/orwamo.html

I would use these over the aluminum mail baskets I've set up for my husband and myself... to write out whose is whose. We'd also use them to create a monthly calendar that shows where we should be and when, and for random notes like, "Don't forget your checkbook" or "I like hummingbirds."

Our apartment has had a problem room ever since we moved in. t's our home office/extra room for my stepson. Plus, it's where we store a lot of our craft supplies, sporting goods, camping gear, and luggage. But it consistently becomes a dumping ground for things we have no place for. We've worked and worked at it... changing things around, getting rid of furniture, buying new solutions. It still frustrates me every time I go into it! I know Spruce could create a setup for me that will stick... and function.

I made a fabric headboard with a piece of homasote (sp?) from Home Depot, some padding, nice fabric, and a staple gun. The homasote comes in exactly the right width for a Queen bed and sticks up a good amount. Great thing is, when you're bored of the board, you just take apart and use the materials for something else... I gave the homasote, which is basically soundboard, to a friend who played music and didn't want to disturb roommates/neighbors, donated the padding, and kept the fabric for making a skirt!

I saw this exhibit at Gallery 101 in Point Reyes Station. It is phenomenally impactful.

I rinse and re-use the plastic bags I get at the store (I have a couple canvas ones, but I can't get my husband to use them).

Here's a link to my bag dryer:

Something better to do with your scraps than throw them in the garbage is to compost them with a worm bin. It even works in apartments! Because it has a sealed lid and you close everything in with newspaper, you have less big explosions of flies.
