I personally wouldn't paint it. I think painted pine is going the way of the all white kitchen.

At the risk of being a downer, I think it looks like she went crazy at Ikea. I loved the old cabinets. Why are all these renovations the same? I'll be glad when the white kitchen craze is behind us.

Save the money for something more important, like retirement or a place of your own. Spending limited resources on this would be a waste.

I plant my tomatoes quite a bit deeper than that, just leaving the top-most portion of leaves out of the soil. I find that this also help prevent damage in the wind. On the other hand, I start my own seeds and don't let them get that lanky either.
Love the new series!

Could we get a little "before and after" variety on this site? I'm getting tired of seeing the same old revamp. Looks nice, but it's predictable.

I love audiobooks! Thanks for the recommendations. Here are some of my own:
The Dresden Files by James Marsters. The new guy is good, but James is the man. I hope they bring him back.
You Suck by Christopher Moore read by Susan Bennett.
The True Meaning of Smekday by Bahni Turpin
Catherynne Valente doing her own The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making.

Of course I would, without hesitation. I would just soak it in the bathtub with a no rinse product like Eucalan, which I use for hand knit garments, or Woolite. It's really not that big a deal. These issues don't stop me buying or making wool sweaters. Why should it stop my having a wool blanket?

Although I love the look, my husband is a scientist and he warns me about the harmful substances that hang around on lab glassware. I would be sure to buy new if it were me.

I also see these all the time in Michigan. Although the stands I see are never that expensive. You could have a lot of people "forget to pay" for 50 cent eggs and still make a profit. But hey, it is Michigan and things are cheaper here. Thank goodness.
