Hot is kinda beyond the point, excellent reuse of something that might have been sent to the landfill otherwise.

I like how they've taken two very different lamps and made them harmonious by putting the same (unusual) lampshade on them.

Strange that this style would be called "Victorian"—when the architecture predates the style by many years and it doesn't look Victorian at all to me. Is the word used in a general way—not meaning specifically Victorian?

love it too—the clutter, all the colors—the craziness—work perfectly! Refreshing.

I like it! The building itself is hideous—doesn't have "good bones"—as people like to say. So they've done something fun and witty with it. The comments of others would indicate that upkeep on something like that is important, and it doesn't seem like that's been done.

Well, our experience with Oz was neither terrible nor great. My main complaint is that the final charge was significantly higher than the estimate. I don't think this was entirely their fault, as it had to do with the difficulty of finding parking nearby. However, I would only go with a flat-rate moving business in the future. Last time we moved, we used Movers Not Shakers, based in Brooklyn. And the fee was exactly what they said it would be. And they did a good job over all.

This is exactly the type of place I would've been a bit intimidated to walk into on a whim. I probably have walked by it many times over the years. Somehow it looks much snootier on the outside than on the inside. Thanks for showing it to us so that we know there's nothing to be afraid of.

That original bathroom tile is great. I don't think you should destroy it. Or if you do, save it and sell it to a salvage place (if that's possible) for someone who would enjoy it.

I'm glad that you finally posted something that looks like a place people actually live (the netflix on the coffee table, sweaters not folded by gap employees). I think you're showing us creative things that people have done with the space: regular people, whose lives are devoted to something besides making their place look Apartment Therapy Perfect.

Wonder if this was left over from Sukkot. This picture looks like nothing so much as a sukkah! Idea for next year that is both Apt. Therapy & Plant Therapy: best designed sukkah.

I have two of these West Elm rugs as well as two four-legged shedding creatures. I didn't notice a smell at all, and I happen to like the scratchy feel. My cats enjoy scratching them, which is too bad, but they seem to take the abuse pretty well. I also find that my Dyson vacuum cleaner is pretty good a sucking up all the fur that accumulates. I definitely recommend.
