We are crazy about all our Health stuff. We got a whole set of Coupe dishes and bowels for our wedding. All of their new glazes are lead free, but some of the older ones do have traces (FDA approved and very safe) of lead in the glaze. They were wonderful about switching stuff out and doing exchanges for us. The information about the glaze is on their web site and our friends found it when they went to buy dishes from our registry and the warning popped up, so I emailed them and they sent a bunch of information. As we will be using the dishes every day (hopefully for many years)...I went with the newer and still beautiful glazes. We got linen and then mixed and matched with the bowels. Mark painted my one bedroom and he was amazing. He was fast, very helpful and VERY reasonable. He helped me choose colors and everyone who has been to vist absolutly loves his choices. I just visited the store and got a lamp from them! It was an amazing place and I have never met nicer people. I love my lamp. They were beyond nice and it was easy to find. I also made an appointment. I would also say it is VERY much worth the trip! They even went so far as to offer me coffee and carry the lamp out to the car for me because it was really heavy. I am an owner, I have an emergency fund that equals at least 3 months salary and I am not in credit card debt. I am still not spending $9000 on a bed. And I agree with Alexander, if I could find a bed that I liked for a similar price, I would get it. I just bought a place and I want a bed that will last a really long time, I have been saving and dreaming about a really nice one for years..but I am not insane. Thank you everyone for the suggestions on where to find an alternative. I have actually looked at most of those places. Also, the one I am having make is out of recycled wood. Thank you all so much for your responses. Just to clarify some things: 1) I have a mini cooper, which is a pretty cool car, but not super expensive. 2) I could probably afford the bed from BDDW and have the cash, but this would blow a lot of my budget for my new apartment so I found someone who will make something very close with a few adjustments (I want a higher footboard) for much cheaper. It is not super cheap cause it is made out of American walnut, but it is a lot less than the one above.. I will let everyone know how it comes out! Thanks again.
