Will the 'force of flush' still be the same? I have a problem with my toilet clogging and not fulling draining.
-Even if it does affect the force I will try to implement this method at my cottage where water needs to be maximized most. thanks!

I would decorate it with cut up pictures my friend and I took one night with sparklers and the long exposure setting on her camera. super cool white/bright/swirling lines!

we have the Jake chairs at the restaraunt that I work at. It is a busy place with lots of kids as well as messy people. hehe. they always wipe down easily, even if it the food has been sitting on the chair for a while. People always compliment how comfortable they are even though they don't look like they would be. good luck either way!

I grew sprouts about a month ago for the first time, and had so much fun doing it. surprisingly easy and very tasty. I also had a lot of seeds left over, and was considering using less next time.
If you don't have cheese cloth, then I just used a panty hoe foot cut off.

rebecca, i really love your style trays! i find myself in a similar predicament when i look at my own personal tastes. A way i have found to balance these warm colour tastes with cool breezy fabrics and natural finishes, is to paint the walls a warm shade (which will look stellar with your rug), include natural finishes on the furnishings in the room. If you can incorporate white breezy fabrics on the windows and possibly some cool blue glass on display (or something similar) I think that would really look nice and create interest in the space.
good luck and make sure to post pictures!

the first idea is definitely my favorite, such a great way to utilize unused space plus a perfect place for lighting.

also, having a door/bookcase is unreal. i love it.

I just recently purchased one of these, only it is a candle version, and am thoroughly impressed. I was skeptical at first but the health food store I work in got them in and had them lit at the front of the store. What a difference!! I can't pinpoint exactly what they do, but they really made me feel 'fresh' and I had energy the whole day.
I brought mine home and light it every night. The more you use it the better, as they need to stay dry to be most effective.
I am finding I am more productive at night, and enjoy the light it gives off. As well, when all three of my roommates got sick I stayed healthy the whole time. They supposedly remove the negative ions from the air, don't ask me what that means, but I recommend them for sure. Even if you just like the light they give off it will improve your mood.
Also, my store sold clear, yellow, orange, red and green lights to go inside them (yellow and orange were by far the nicest) so make sure you get a replacement bulb (we give them for free!).
Enjoy!

I LOVE shrinky, I never knew where to buy it. I work at a summer camp and we used it to make name tags...oh the options.
The thing is, i'm Canadian...does that mean I'm disqualified?

why isn't the contest open to Canadian citizens? Shipping something like this in a box would not be a hassle. In any case, I would make hummus and grilled artichoke dips. yummm.

Hello!
This holiday season my friends and I (all struggling students) decided to make baked goods to give to people that deserve a present but given our bank statements were not going to receive one. We plan on making a variety of different cookies, squares, peanut brittle, and other goodies.
My question is, how soon can we package these items to give out? Our idea was to put them in those cute little chinese take-out container boxes with cellophane inside. We would like to get started but I was just wondering what kind of expiration date baked goods had. Thanks!

Love the show!

This definately isn't an expert opinion, but I think a large rectangular rug infront of the door that goes all the way to the stairs would work really well for you. That way you can still see the beautiful hard wood but the rug covers the high traffic areas.

Its only the weekends, you don't need to buy any more appliances to eat well.

Try a toasted tomato and havarti sandwich with a fresh salad. If you make the dressing with olive oil and balsamic you can keep both items on a shelf, no refridgeration needed.

Good luck!

This is my favorite by FAR. You have a knack for mixing different elements and styles..asian/retro/modern. Your outdoor space makes me long for summer again. Plus the headboard and coffee table are amazing. Great job!

A rug in a nice warm colour would do alot for the space, as well as I would definately get some great potted plants to add interest and colour.
Some interesting artwork would work well, or a great wooden frame mirror. I think you should try and bring more dark woods and textures in.
Everything that is in the space right now (except for the pillow) is so bland, so try not to buy anything else that isn't saturated in warm colours.
Can't wait to see what you do.
