I have a dilemma maybe somebody can help me. I've been in this apartment for almost 20 yrs, same carpet and it needs to come up and be replaced....LL won't do it and won't let me do it (about that later)....so I'm going to take the carpet up anyway. But I don't want to spend a bundle on flooring. What do you suggest I put in its place? It's a berber type carpet....over restrictive tile....I was thinking an area rug, but I need to have padding underneath...the room size is 14x14. Hi, all I have a question about decorating. Is it okay to have a carpet (berber) with different colors? I live in a rental apartment (15 yrs) and the carpet is shot. About half is OK and the other is worn. I want to pull up the old carpet and put in squares that are a different color but same material.
