I measure the oil first (if it's used) and then the sticky stuff, but if you use a silicone measuring cup it slides out very well anyways...

Just lower the liquid amounts as well as ice, if you use it. If he's allergic to bananas he probably also would have issues with avocados (they both contain a latex like protein which causes allergic reactions).

I'm so sorry to hear about you accident.

Since you will be healing, you need to give your body a rest from digestion. Digestion take A LOT of energy and if you eat "easy" food, your body can work on healing.

Turmeric is great for inflammation. Probiotics will help keep your immune system balanced. Things that will slow down healing and increase inflammation is dairy and any kind of grains.

Drink and eat warm foods...they are easier to digest (this is why women who have just had babies in many countries are feed soups and tea etc).

A bone marrow broth (the real deal, not canned) will do you very well if you eat meat already. There is a lot of healing properties in bone marrow.

Garlic and ginger are great for the blood, keeping it fluid and healthy.

Lots of veggies and broth! Eggs are great too, lots of B vitamins good for cell repair! Good luck.

Maybe make a cold noodle salad with gluten free pasta ( I wouldn't recommend rice noodles, something like ancient harvest noodles, more sturdy). I've done this for a long road trip. Just boil the noodles and let cool. Cut up your fave veggies in small bits, I like green onion, bean sprouts, cucumber, carrot, red pepper... you can make a peanut sauce like pad thai with a spoon full of peanut butter, red curry paste, a squeeze of lime juice, pepper and if you want, a splash of GF soy sauce.

Also there are travel packets of GF soy sauce by San-J.

I have pretty much every variety of Organic India Tulsi tea and I love Allegra organic breakfast blend. I was raised with peppermint tea, we had it every night after dinner and I still love doing the same. My husband love the sweet spicy cinnamon flavor of Tevana samuri chai but it's way too caffeinated for me.

People always thought my brother and I ate so oddly and once they met my family, it made more sense. My family is German and we never put our knife down!

Even though we could have fixed our broken toaster over for $1.90, we went ahead and got this one! We have major toaster love! Even my husband cooks more because it's so much easier with the Breville Smart Oven.

We bought them off kick starter and were disappointed with them. Sure it cools it down a little faster but did not keep our coffee warm or hot at all no matter what it was in and how we prepared them. =( Hopefully the second run will be improved.

I Love soy sauce, and I try to avoid soy as much as possible, and I tried the coconut aminos, but it's no where near soy sauce. I don't have any other alternatives but I'm wondering this same question.

OK WOW! This post wasn't meant to stir up peoples convictions! This is how our marriage works, I'm a veggie for my own reasons and I care about animals but I love to cook, Hubby is not, but still cares about animals and his health, so WHEN he eats meat, which isn't often, he prefers organic, or all natural and ones that lived a happy life! I don't mind buying meat for him.

As I said above, I am having luck with APPLEGATE FARMS chicken sausage. Thanks everyone!

Thanks for responding everyone...There was a little misinterpretation in the post. I am a vegetarian but my husband is not, and when I buy him REAL sausage (I never buy veggie sausage, I don't believe in it) I have no idea what it taste like, so I'm just guessing at the butcher counter.

He hates all of the whole foods house made sausages, those are the ones that are dense and dry. He wants something like the good ol' days of Jimmy Dean and I'm looking for links, not patti's. THanks again!
