My fave is penne pasta with bacon, green peas, caramelized onions, and Parmesan cheese. So easy, and soooo good.

I love this! I'm not a faux florals person at all...but I don't want my door to be naked either! I love how this is so sleek, yet relaxed at the same time.

uh, make! no contest...the boxed kind are too much like jello...and don't have enough cheesy good flavor.
If you want easy and homemade:
-1 tub cool whip
-1 8oz block cream cheese, soften
-1/2 c confectioners sugar
-1 tsp vanilla
Cream all together, put in a pre-made or pre-baked crust, chill for 4 hours...sooooo goood!

We stayed at the Hudson last time I was in NYC. The rooms look to be as small as The Pod rooms...but not for a discounted price! These types of small-sleep-and-shower-here-only rooms remind me of European budget hotels...functional, but not somewhere to hang out.

I start with sites like Rent.com. They have everything, from big conglomorate places to personal rent-my-basement out places. They usually have links to websites too, which helps. ALso, if you tell a place you found them on rent.com, and you end up signing a lease, you get a $100 gift card, which is pretty sweet. We also just drive around a neighborhood and see where we want to live. Harder if you're moving out of your city....but we even do this on vacation...just in case!

I've much despised the "McMansions" out there, with 200,000SF, and no useful space. Money buys you more stuff, more space, and a longer driveway...not style...

yes...a chocolate croissant or chocolate chip pancakes are indulgent...so what?!?! As long as you don't Indulge daily, it should be acceptable for us to have a treat every once in a while. And I can't believe that lady sued the Nutella company...does she not read nutrition labels?!?!?! That stuff is a wonder food, lower in calories and sugar than regulat peanut butter or jelly, and has fiber and protein...morons...

My very first apartment ever...super cheap, on a bus line, next to my school...and I should have run screaming. The "Landlord" was a total scumbag, never fixed anything...including our walk=out patio door. Should have seen the signs on move-in day, when I asked to see the place one more time, walked in to see 4..."non-English speaking workers" hanging out in my soon-to-be livingroom, "fixing" the door. When brought up to the landlord, I was told to "get over it and stop being so racist"...oh my...but, it was only a 6 month lease, so I left most of my things packed up, and got the hell outta there ASAP.

It's quite easy...and I've done it in apartments before too, not just my own. It makes a huge difference! If people can take their cabinet doors off, they can certainly change the way the fridge door swings.

I get frustrated by the "pet rent" that some places impose...really?!?! My pet needs to pay $20 a month to lay on my couch? I've negotiated this away, stating that if at the end, the landlord feels there is damage caused by pets, they can charge me...I've never been charged.

I'm a completely Classic gal...I love tailored clothing, the more man-cut pants and jackets, with just little flairs of girliness in my jewelry, belts and shoes. I've tried to incorporate a more "trendy" style into my wardrobe, but my body type just lends itself to the cut, 50's style clothing...I can live with that!

Oh my, we are So on trend...We have a divided room (used to be a bedroom, they added on another bedroom, so our "Bedroom" is 2 rooms) and we're dividing it into an office/bedroom with curtains. I love the way they make a room feel so intimate, but still a little mysterious...

I say head...because you can always travel to those amazing places, and they always seem a little less amazing once you have to deal with rush hour traffic, finding a job, grocery shopping, working everyday, etc...
I live where I do because of my job and my hubby. We bought a smaller house, close to the city, so we can enjoy the nightlife, and also use our hard earned income to travel, instead of paying through the nose for a great but tiny box in NYC or San Fran. It's a good compromise!

I say gross. I know, I know...it's just pureed fruit, but unfrozen baby food from a jar creeps me out...and freezing it just raises that to the nth degree...more power to those who can get over it though.

I miss okra. I moved to Minnesota from Kansas about 11 years ago, and they just don't have okra here!!! Everytime I go home, I have to go to the BBQ place that makes the best ribs, best creamed corn, and best okra with tomatoes and onions ever...maybe next year I'll try it in my garden?

for our 2 week Great Britain trip, I bought those "Space Bags" on a whim...thinking it'd be funny if nothing else. They...saved...us! Dirty icky clothes...into a Space Bag! uh oh...not enough room for those shoes from London? More clothes into another Space Bag! They really do save you room, and help keep clean/dirty/wet clothes from touching each other.

I wondered about the legallity of it too, especially if they are serving alcohol? Seems like a cool idea though, for a start-up chef who doesn't have the loan or cash to open a restaurant proper.
