A couple of restaurants that I think are worth mentioning: Beehive in the South End has a unique vibe and great live jazz music, and Woodward at the Ames Hotel downtown is a fun spot for a fancy drink and good apps.

Also, don't miss First Fridays in the South End... lots of really great galleries participate.

I am! I painted my living room a bright red-orange color. Here are a few photos: http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/faiths-tomato-i-98164

I absolutely adore that first light fixture... where can I get myself one of those?! Beautiful wallpapers as well.

That third image is just GORGEOUS. I'm reading The Paris Wife right now, and I imagine Ernest Hemingway wandering streets that look just like this....

Love the colors and patterns, just impeccable. I have a feeling Kirsten might like these pics: http://designfixation.blogspot.com/2011/03/bit-of-butter-yellow.html

Some of these rooms are very beautiful in their simplicity, but others are a bit too bare for me. I think that having "things" in a room can be done effectively if they are organized and deliberate. My bedroom is a bit more full, but still has an airy feel: http://designfixation.blogspot.com/2010/03/make-yourself-at-home-take-peek-into.html

Maybe it's because I live on the east coast, but I love this breezy California style. These old school looks are fun... I think I need to have that Walnut Desmond Screen!

I wrote a related post a while back called "Surfer Chic," showing some attractive west coast interiors: http://designfixation.blogspot.com/2010/06/surfer-chic.html

I like the use of vertical space that most of these rooms have showcased. I LOVE that neutral color scheme in the last image - so calming. And while we're at it, here's a little peek at my tiny bedroom: http://designfixation.blogspot.com/2010/03/make-yourself-at-home-take-peek-into.html

Purple kitchen cabinets! I love it. That's a very daring step to take, and it paid off. The room would have lacked interest without it.

Here's another purple room that I ADORE: http://designfixation.blogspot.com/2009/12/purple-with-envy.html

I absolutely love orange, I think it can add an easy pop of color to an otherwise neutral room. I think I need that orange sofa in the sixth photo! Here are a few more images of orange inspiration:

I think I would have to say Morocco. I visited once while I was in high school, much before my interest in home decor took flight. The shops were filled with the most luxurious of goods....

Clearly I have a bit of an obsession with it: http://designfixation.blogspot.com/2010/07/next-stop-marrakech.html

I've been aching for a vintage bottle caddy lately... looks like I now have an excuse to buy one! That's SUCH a great idea.

I did a post on this topic a while back: http://designfixation.blogspot.com/2010/02/bling-display-on-budget.html

This is brilliant... it just goes to show how important the photograph itself is when showcasing an interior. Because of a few minor differences in angle, Jenna Lyons' home appeals much more to me in Domino's photos than in those of Livingetc.

It's a lovely space either way though, no doubt about it.

You did a lovely job maintaining your home's classic feel while still creating a modern and comfortable living space. Usually I feel that natural wood trim is difficult to pull off in a stylish way, but you've done it. Amazing place!
