This isn't my favorite, but "original, beautiful wood"? It looks like crappy plywood to me. I would have probably modpodged an old map on to the seat and back if it were my chair, but the wood as it looks in the top picture looks horrible.

I live simply by not having a computer in my 800 sq ft home. I do have a tv because every once in awhile I want to watch a movie or check the weather to make sure a tornado isn't about to hit. My flat screen doesn't seem to take up all that much space.

After constantly reading comments like the one above on all apartment therapy threads that showcase nurseries I have decided that when I have a chil, I am going to lay a mat on the floor of a padded room. Maybe I'll just have the floor padded too.

halving:) as in 1 tbsp of soy sauce vs 2, and perhaps adding a bit more fish sauce.

I liked this recipe, but next time I'm having the soy sauce amount. I didn't like that much.. I'd prefer more fish sauce to soy sauce anyway.

I like some brick painted and some unpainted. Not all brick walls are beautiful reds. Some are just plain ugly (mixed browns I'm looking at you).

When leaving Bratislava by train I got a gigantic fried cheese sandwich that was amazing (and quite unhealthy I'm sure). It looked like the picture on this persons blog: http://yarbogpragueblague.blogspot.com/2011/02/fried-cheese-sandwich.html

The other delicious train food I had in Eurpoe was in hungary. It was a kürtõskalács, also known as chimney cake. Cinamon and sugar were carmelized on the outside. If you ever go ton Hungary get one.

I had a 2011 Domaine du Vieux Chene "cuvee des capucins" Rose and it was delicious! I highly recommend it.

It's been 6 years and my ex and I still share our 2 dogs. We got both when we were dating. Now one pup lives with me and one lives with the ex. Whenever one of us goes out of town, the other keeps both pets. The dogs are best buds so this way they get to see each other multiple times a year. I'm sure it's odd to our partners, but we are still friends and it's good for the dogs.

Jaffa Flea Market in Israel was pretty great. I wasn't a fan of Portobello Rd, expensive and packed out with people.

I love arugula salads. I eat one almost every day. Arugula with a squeeze of lemon, a teensy bit of olive oil, and some fresh grated parm.

I have 2 great danes in an 800 square foot house. I take them on walks daily, to the dog park often, and to doggie day care occasionally. They may be big dogs in a small house, but they have a great life and get way more exercise than most peoples animals who have larger houses and yards.

Like Pi said...all dogs are different. Though I honestly believe any dog can live in a small space, you just need to make sure they get the appropriate amount of exercise for their temperament.

Tomatoes, Avocados, and Cauliflower. I hated them all. I grew up refusing to eat ANYTHING with tomatoes in it. Avocado and Cauliflower were easier to hide from since my parents didn't serve those often. I'm not sure why my tastes have changed, though I know that I love cauliflower now because I prepare it properly, unlike my parents and schools who would steam it. Tomatoes have just started to grow on me, though I still can't eat them plain or cubed in salads. I distinctly remember when I started liking avocados. I would be at Mexican restaurants with friends when they ordered guacamole and I would try a bite every time even though I didn't particularly like it. One day I started craving them. Now I eat at least a couple each week, mostly with eggs.

I pet sit/ house-sit on the side and their are a lot of homes that I feel that way about. Most of those are more related to the animals within, but I always miss the home too when the pet passes away or the people move.

I live in the South and have never fried a chicken.
2 reasons:
-Cleanup is a pain
-It is easier to go to a local restaurant

In the past I've lived without a washer and dryer as well as a dishwasher. I have to say that I would much rather have a washer and dryer than a dishwasher. I like washing my bedding frequently and I found that when I had to go to the laundromat to wash I wouldn't wash stuff near as much. Different strokes for different folks I guess:)

Early 30s and grew up in the 'burbs. I have lived in the city for about 8 years now and would never move back to the suburbs. I would move out to the country or a small, small town before I would ever live in the 'burbs. I'm not a fan.

I am a terrible gardener, but one thing I always grow is basil. Its pretty easy. Just make sure to clip leaves often don't just let them accumulate. Clipping makes them bushier.
