Forgot to say - I am SUPER susceptible to auditory pareidolia, specifically electronic voice phenomenon, which is when you can hear voices and music behind white noise. Even the vacuum drives me batty. If I had a white noise machine, I'd lay awake all night convinced people in the next room were talking quietly or playing the radio.

Feather.

I sleep with earplugs, but vague street noise often acts as white noise for me. I also sleep with a night guard to prevent grinding/clenching and I've found that if I wait till I'm almost asleep to put it in (15-30 mins), the ritual of wearing it will put me right to sleep.

Oddly, I am the complete opposite with naps. I can nap ANYWHERE in an instant and the louder, colder, and weirder it is and the less comfortable I am, the better I nap. My mother and I are both like this. Bed is for sleeping. Hard wooden chair with no neck support in the rain next to a construction site is for napping.

I second (third? fourth?) the Clever Cat! No tracking at ALL and no kicking. Our cat has no trouble jumping in and even uses it as a perch to jump on to other things. Best of all worlds. And cheap!!

Made pasta last night with caper-stuffed olives, tomatoes, and onions. Delish!

My grandmother used to make the most amazing Surinamese pastei. My mom and I recreated it this Thanksgiving to good effect. Only note: needed WAY more capers. Love 'em.

I do this! Usually with grey and blue basics and some pops of color in shoes and tops. Bring a variety of small accessories and you're good to go!

Oh, and most importantly - WEAR the largest items in your luggage when you're travelling. Wear your coat, your boots, your belt, your sweatshirt, etc.

You know, I'm not sure this would be horrible. Make sure the glass is double-paned, or has a space b/t the pool and the viewing glass, and it should stop leaks of water AND chlorine-y smells.

Editing is awesome and a way to grow. Maybe they meant "don't call it editing"?

I agree about #5: I'm a percolator and sometimes ideas bubble around for months, years, before they come to the surface. If I discarded everything after a week, I'd get nothing done.

I LOVE #6: The point of being done is not to finish but to get other things done.

But I would add (as a structured procrastinator) that the opportunity of being stuck is to get other things done.
