I agree with the placement. I would put the sofa across from the fireplace, parallel to it, and the daybed where the sofa is, perpendicular to the fireplace.

Also, WHERE is the area rug? I'd nix the zebra stools and go for a (faux of course) animal pelt.

I also like the choices for the pops of color, but they need to be more present I think.

But on a positive note, the color scheme is gorgeous and the pieces are divine.

I can't tell if I love it or hate it. On the one hand I love anything shiny. I mean, can you imagine this in the KITCHEN!?!?!

On the other hand, it does seem to create a bit of visual clutter. You may not notice it consciously, but the visual noise could lead to subconscious anxiety.

It's hard to say for sure. The light reflection sure does brighten up the room, though.

Also, I'm in love with that Octopus print!
