That is just way too much death to be surrounded by for me....

My #1 is also my french press coffee maker, for sure!
#2 My KitchenAid mixer, hardly a day goes by thtat I don't use it
#3 My awesome 3-oven cooker. It's not only extremely functional, but sooo easy on the eye as well!
#4 My new washing machine is great - it has taken laundry day to a whole new level
#5 My army of table lamps - they are just so much better then a light fixture - I have at least two in every room :o)

I have to add #6 My ModCat litter box, my cats love it and it's cute :o)

I could go on and on, I am SO grateful for all my little helpers and comforters, I know I am privileged!

I really want to see what's going on in the other room (the one we see a glimpse of in the ceiling picture), seams like there's lot's more of wall/ceiling art in this apartment :o)

@arelleb: That sounds lovely! I might copy that idea from you as I have so many nice vases but nothing to put in them....

I would make a family photo wall and perhaps mix in one or more mirrors as well, that way you combine two very important things and lose no space:
#1 it's always great to have a last check on you appearance before leaving the apartment
and
#2 it's absolutely wonderful to see all your loved-ones the minute you walk in :o)

I just splurged on a royal blue Rangemaster Cooker with brass handles! I just wanted it sooooo bad!

It will arrive in about 10 days from now! I'm SO excited!
It was the only cooker I wanted, so since April (7 months!) I have been without any cooking device but a BBQ and an egg-boiler!
I was saving up for my blue beast - and it is so rewarding to know that it's finally going to happen :D

Christmas present will be a little less costly this year as a result ;o)
But I think it is well worth it for the investment.

My mom (and therefor I) always made mashed potatoes with sugar and just a pinch of salt, so it's a bit sweet. Goes great with salty dishes, like salted&smoked ham, or pan fried metisder sausage for everyday cooking (yum yum)

I have made wasabi mash potatoes with tuna steak which is yummy, but the garlic version is definitely something I have to try as I am such a garlic lover :o)
