Really cute but it seems like this would make time-out fun. My boys would love sitting on that and playing with it which defeats the point of time-out.

I really love this room. That is the best looking ceiling fan I've ever seen. Such a warm, homey space for your little one!

Do You Use Your Kids As An Excuse To Not Attend Boring Parties?

As the mom to two boys, I am pretty sure my kids could injure themselves doing anything.

This party looks awesome and so fun! I love the idea and I know my kids would have so much fun at a party like this. I am sure there were plenty of adults around to supervise.

Sorry that some people have to be so negative on here.

I agree with the layering technique! I also recommend IKEA's crib sheets; they are not fancy or organic or anything but they wash well, fit well and are inexpensive. A great option to have some extras for back-up. I think they are $9.99 for 2.

As foster parents, we unexpectedly were placed with a two week old. No rocking chair. No glider. I fed him on our couch. Plenty of parents do not or cannot have one of these options and their babies end up healthy and happy. We are now planning for a baby this winter and I have no plans to put a glider/rocking chair in her room. We made it through seven months with our little guy without a lot of what people think of a "necessities" before he went home to his mom. I love the idea of a love seat/couch in the nursery.

I am pretty sure my two boys (who happen to be adopted through foster care) would get a huge kick out of the monkey print. I like it & think lots of kids would. Plus, I am pretty sure if any kid said they were scared of it you would know how to handle it.

The store near Detroit said don't expect any cribs until September. Luckily, we already have a Gulliver.

These look fun & tasty: http://weelicious.com/2010/01/21/mac-chicken-cheese-bites/. A friend served them at her daughter's party.

I also have a food intolerance (gluten); you can make these with GF pasta, no flour and no breadcrumbs. I don't expect people to cater to my diet but it means a WHOLE lot to me when they at least have one option for me. If I know pizza is being served, I eat before hand.

I bought a Skip Hop backpack and I like it but really any back pack would do. I do think it is nice to have a changing pad but you can buy those anywhere and throw it in any bag you choose. I agree - the clips for hanging the bag on the stroller are nice but not an absolute necessity.

Definitely white furniture. I clicked on the link to the paint color and loved one of the other colors they matched it with (Borrowed Light, http://us.farrow-ball.com/borrowed-light///fcp-product/100235) I know it is more blue but I'm just not a "pink" fan and love blue in a girl's room.
