As an Anglophile, I *love* it. :)

We did a gender-neutral nursery for our boys, but I think it skewed a tiny bit masculine, so it worked out that they were boys and not girls. But I do think that a lot of gender-neutral nurseries tend to be on the girly side.

I've been now made this 3 or 4 times (and got a new bag of steel cut oats to make it again.) This last time I added a bit of candied ginger right before it went in the oven. And in the morning, I'll throw in a few walnuts from the freezer before heating it up.

So good!

I have one similar to the Arkon and the Bracketron. I loathe it, and just this morning was thinking I need to find a better option. The Viewsticks one looks good....

Oof. One of my (4 year old) triplets sucks his thumb. I was congratulating myself at 2.5 when I only had TWO to break of the binky habit. Now I wish Oliver used a binky!

I haven't really broken it to him yet that he can't suck his thumb anymore. I don't know what I'm going to do. I can say, his front teeth are more prominent than his brothers' (and they're identical, so I am comparing apples to apples) and the dentist confirmed that.

So, we'll see. I will talk to him first, then try other methods. (But we live in New Orleans - hot sauce might not be much of a deterrent!)

bluepuppybites, my boys have never seen a commercial, so i love being able to surprise them like this! the only thing they want is a train car (each) from the Thomas set. :)

sarahrae, it's a sheetrocked wall, pretty standard. my brother sent the boys an extension kit so i could really only put it in one place (it has to be near a corner) so we might try liquid nails to keep it on FOREVERRRRRRR.

it sucks, because they really enjoy it!

Clearly no one there has tried to find a Leap Pad Explorer. (Bought mine in November, whew.) And I had trouble finding the Hot Wheels Wall Tracks for a while, but I eventually found them. (Now I wish I never had, since they keep falling off the wall, but that's another story.)

I just did photo thank you cards from my boys' birthday, but since they're just 4, I'll be writing them again this year. Can't wait til they can help!

My mom made me "faux" CPK when I was little. I was sooo disappointed, but ended up loving Jessica WAY more than the cheesy real CPK I eventually got.

I just bought one of the contraptions that peels and slices the apple. I thought it was a crazy waste of space unitasker until a coworker brought one to the office.

After using it once, I immediately ordered one and use it at least every day. Love it. (And you know what they say about an apple a day...)

My kids' school just got a Kaboom playground last weekend. It's beautiful and the kids love it. Though my boys are still playing in a patch of dirt in the corner. Sigh.
