We don't have a separater. But will think about it now.

Great idea! Wish I thought of it when my sister was organizing my baby shower. Since I purchased the essentials on Craigslist, I ended up returning most of the gifts and using the 'gift' cards to buy diapers.

Very interesting results. It would have been nice to see the results segmented by age ranges of boys and girls (0-2, 3-5, etc) and see if there is correlation between growing societal factors and type of toys they play with.

Oxi-clean in our house. I spot clean with the spray and add the powder along with detergent. I also soak any bad stains in cold water with some Oxi-clean before the garment goes in the washer.

Nice design, but i can't imagine carrying a baby up and down the ladder for early am nursing in bed. I am way too clutzy in the middle of the night.

We used a jack spade 'briefcase' looking bag, similar to your pic. Working out well. We used a skip hop diaper changing kit and put rest in ziploc bags. Only drawback is the limit on number of toys for baby as he got older and needs to be entertained.

I have a 6-month old baby, and even though we have a dishwasher, we washed his bottles, nipples, toys, etc by hand because we never had enough dishes to run a wash as frequently as I needed access to said bottles, nipples, or toys. I purchased the dishwasher rack for the nipples, bottles, but haven't used it yet.

He'll be missed. I looked forward to reading his column every Wednesday; his no-nonsense approach to cooking inspired me to put down the take-out menu and make a meal.

Great idea! I've used vaseline to rub the bandaid off, but it takes a long time, especially for a sqirmy baby.

My family is buddhist, and we use the whole chicken as offering to the gods. As a child, I went food shopping with my mom in Chinatown for whole chicken, and all the butchers carry them especially during the religious holidays. When we moved to the burbs, my mom felt that the supermarket cheated her on the chicken head and feet. So we started our weekly trek to Chinatown to get our meats and veggies.
