My mother used to be a geriatric nurse at a nursing home, and was promoted several times. She always told me that with dementia patients you need to work within their reality or face agitation and aggravation for both nurse and patient. The bus stop story is a beautiful example of that idea in practice. Weekend Meditation: Waiting for the Bus |

Whisking? Fantastic! I already love and use my whisk loads. I've been contemplating buying a sifter lately (my mom never sifted and I've never sifted before). This will save me $$$ and space in my kitchen! Progressive Measuring Flour Sifter | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

Love it! Although it's not the style I'd decorate my own home with, it's so inviting and warm. It doesn't look "overdesigned" and looks lived-in and loved in the best possible sense. Joe and Kristin's Design Mix Craftsman House Tour | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

Monochromatic color schemes are too busy in their own way. Sometimes they work for me if they play with patterns correctly, but I prefer color contrast. I love white when bright colors are used to make certain elements pop. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | White-Colored Rooms Roundup |
