I have done exactly what is pictured above... On just refinished wood floors. Nightmare! I also over sprayed white spray paint all over my dark blue car. I was so far away from the car but it was a windy day... My free chair plus the cost of spray paint doesn't make up for the buffing my car needs. Bummer. Tell Us: What's Your Biggest DIY Disaster? |

I have very similar wood work and we hung high and wide as folks are suggesting. . . it takes a little bit of getting used to (we also transitioned from similarly placed curtains from previous owners) but it really does work at making the room feel taller and doesn't obstruct the wood work. All that to say. . .try it! You can pretty easily patch the wall if you hate it! Height to Hang Curtains in Old Victorian? Good Questions |

I don't use a bumper. . . however we are having a major problem with our 1 year old getting her legs stuck in the crib spindles. I see so many people recommending sleep sacks (and I used to use them) however I don't see any on the market large enough. Any one know where to get bigger sleep sacks (my daughter wears 12-18 month clothing) It's Official: AAP Says No Crib Bumpers |

This question is too funny as I was just sitting here trying to come up with a solution for a shower this morning :) I used to put a jumper in the doorway of the bathroom and peek out at her while I showered, but now that she has outgrown that I am struggling and just waiting for nap time most days. I'm thinking about dragging her highchair into the bathroom and letting her eat breakfast while I shower (she gets bored playing on the floor and tries to climb into the shower). I love the tenting around her crib. . .so beautiful. It wouldn't work with my daughter--she ripped down the roller shade in her room by reaching through the rails of her crib (I thought the window was out of reach). Such a pretty room though. Eulalie's Playfully Bohemian Nursery Nursery Tour |

I painted our nursery a light aqua for the same reason. I did go pretty gender specific with accessories though to really make it Genevieve's room. I plan to be able to just switch out accessories to make it a boy room should we have a boy in the future. Here is a link to pics of the room. Hope they help! http://lifebygrace.com/?p=346 Making an Aqua Nursery Gender Neutral Good Questions |

My parents go way overboard with my 10month old. I am not all that concerned now, and have told them both that when we get to the point where there are too many 'things' in Evie's life we will start the one in one out (to goodwill) rule. However, my concern is about Evie's relationship with my parents being centered around gifts. Both of my parents are out of town, but at easy driving distance so she sees them 6-8 times/year. I don't want every time she sees them to be about getting stuff. . . or for her to have that expectation. I do encourage experiences or material gifts, but my mom and step-mom are big shoppers. . . Any thoughts? How Do You Help Keep Gift Giving Grandparents At Bay? Reader Survey |
