You must go back to school and get a few semesters in before a design firm even considers you for an internship. I see ads for design internships all the time and every single one of them requires that you know something like Autocad or another skill that you will need to learn by going to school. Don't listen to those who are saying stick to finance. If design is what you are passionate about - go for it. However, you should attend school part time nights, keep your finance job to pay for it and save your money 'cause when and if you graduate, your new salary will be chump change for quite some time.

@londonverve: I am with you on the Golden Girl's house. I wasn't in to interior design when watching it, but I loved their house and wanted to move to Florida because of it.

I am now over Florida and the decor of the house. I still watch the show and it is still hilarious.

I have also gotten cheap mag subscriptions to a number of hearst magazines by entering their forever running $1,000,000 or $250,000 contest. As soon as you submit your entry there is a page with an offer for 2 (titles) of their magazines 1 for $5.00 or 2 for $10.00. The titles differ depending on which site you are on.

I love your dining set and you need a color on the wall like a shade of orange, green or yellow to make those chairs stand out. Those chairs also call out for a global theme, though I'm not sure what your taste is or what the rest of your house looks like. Chandeliers are too dainty for that dining set. The white blinds also look cheap when seen next to those chairs. In short: I really like those chairs and I would use them as my inspiration for the rest of the space.

Yep, by the closet. Don't want to sleep right across from the kitchen. I live in a studio also and I'm thinking of moving some things around. Don't want to use partition 'cause it will make my space look smaller. Wish I had those windows.
