"Nice floor lamps can be expensive"

THIS lamp is expensive.

Looking at it, I thought it would be $50...almost $300!! I bet I could find a way nicer lamp for that price, or maybe a similar lamp for cheaper.

I dont get the 911 concern. Ive called 911 on my cell, and I was instantly taken to the local 911 place. I didnt have to say anything about where I was.

Im cell only. I got so frustrated with an $85 a month phone bill, and thats with out voicemail, caller ID, etc. It was much too expensive, and I hardly used it anyways. Seemed like a waste of money.

So it would work perfectly, great.

Its a little pricey for IKEA, but its amongst the better quality items, so that justifys the price. I think that $350 for a chair like that its too expensive. I bet you could go somewhere else and spend more for something that isn't quite what you are looking for.

I say go for it. You will live with it for a long time, and if it would work great in your room, its not a waste of money.

I got fleas last summer, well my kitty did and then my carpet did. She had so many fleas, she got two flea baths from the groomers, and I think she was anemic.

I took her to the vet, she got a flea medicine to put on the back of her neck, and I combed her for weeks getting them all out.

As far as my place, bombing DID NOT work. I tried three kinds. Vacuuming DID NOT work either. Borax DID NOT work.

Here is what did work: pans of water with a little dish soap mixed in to reduce surface tension. Then I put a well secured lamp next to the pan, lamp pointing down into the water. The fleas were attracted to the heat and light of the lamp, jump in the water and then drown.

IT WORKS! And its more natural and safer than bombs.

Pretty funny. For those with some pretty "low hangers"

This competition needs to happen for those of us not living in a dorm. With the same guidelines:

"We want to see who has the skill, the brains and the courage to overcome small spaces and small budgets. We're not looking for neat little IKEA creations, we want originality, style and - if you can swing it - vintage chic. "

• You must include at least 3 pieces of vintage/thrift furniture

I would love for this to happen!

Be proud of the initials your parents gave you.

If it spells something funny, go for it.

I agree with the judges on this one. Sure he was nice and all, but a big lesson is to not have so much in a room, I would think that is a fairly basic lesson, that he hadnt learned yet. It looked like someone threw up in there, all the chili and beans on the floor. Way too many glasses everywhere. Ugh.

But I still thought this was the greatest interior design episode of any show I have ever seen, EVER. Dollar store, BRILLIANT!!! I dont have alot of money, I dont have a big place. Design with constraints is the name of the game.
