I'm late to the party too...Just halfway through the first week. There are some great recipes (the lentil recipe is simple and fantastic), but I don't think I'll be continuing the second week. Anyone Doing the Food Lover's Cleanse from Bon Appétit? |

We've been grilling spatchcocked chicken all summer. This recipe looks great, but I doubt it would take a full hour to cook at 400F unless it was a very large bird. Usually spatchcocking cuts the cooking time quite a bit, and it only takes an hour to roast a whole 4 lb bird at 400. Recipe: Spatchcocked Ricotta Chicken |

On Sunday nights I make a frittata with mostly veggies (similar to Mark Bittman's More Vegetable than Eggs Frittata). It's a great way to clean out the fridge, too; this week I used some spinach that was on its last legs, half a bell pepper left over from a salad, some bacon I'd cooked for BLTs earlier in the week, and some mushrooms. I use about 8 eggs or a combination of whole eggs and egg whites. Cut it into 5 wedges and I've got a low calorie breakfast for the whole work week. 10 Make-Ahead Breakfasts to Start Your Day Off Right |

I dampen a tea towel or paper towel, put the blade of a butter knife in it so that there's just one thickness of towel on either side of the blade, insert it at the back and pull it forward. Does a fine job. Best Way to Clean Between the Oven and the Counter? |

I loved mine! I gave it away to a friend when I got a 10-cup Cuisinart. The little 3-cup wonder is apparently still going strong, however. I do miss having something small, as dragging the big one out seems like such a production, and I use it often. I've been thinking about buying a Magic Bullet for smaller jobs.
