Growing up I had the 'Paradisa' Lego sets that were targeted at girls and regular Lego sets and I loved them both. The 'Paradisa' sets included fun, normal mini-figs with details like ponytails and long eyelashes. I was happy to have Lego sets with bricks in my favorite colors at the time (pink, light green) and actually had female mini-figs that were beyond princesses. My older brother was a Lego fiend and ended up stealing the pieces his sets didn't have like ice cream carts and bicycles.

This has been a favorite beer of mine for five years now! I tried it at a beer fest in Portland and was so excited when they started releasing cans of it! It's so light and yummy so summer. I'm nine months pregnant now and a can of this beer is high on my list post-baby!

My husband and I love our Ethan Allen Hyde sofa. It was a little pricier, $1699, than we originally wanted to spend but once we sat on it we knew it was the one for us. The back is tall and the seats are sooo deep and cushy, all of our friends love it when they come over. We loved that we would pick the exact fabric we wanted, we went with a grey herringbone wool, and it's only gotten softer and more comfy over time.

Pliny is my husband's favorite IPA, it's so tasty! We live in Portland and our favorite bottle shop Belmont Station has a three-bottle-per-person limit for Pliny when it's in stock.

What throws us off is making a specific, budget friendly shopping list and then the store is out of a particular ingredient. This happens to us a lot at Trader Joe's for some reason.

We just canceled our cable service and bought an HD antenna to watch broadcast channels like ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX for free. We'd get rid of the TV altogether but movie nights at home have replaced going out to the theater so I think it's here to stay.

My husband and I got married almost two weeks ago and we're just getting around to the 'return or keep' gift dance.

We registered at Macy's for All-Clad, Wusthof knives, Oneida flatware and a few other kitchen tools we deemed important at the time. We also had a small registry at Heath Ceramics I was counting on my style-savvy aunt and uncles to buy from.

I love my husband but he tends to get talked into things rather easily by salespeople. Rather than laughing out loud at the idea of registering for crystal goblets (seriously, we break things) I begrudgingly zapped away at a few items in the 'pretty, breakable and way-too-fancy' section of Macy's knowing full well I could remove them online later. After much discussion, "I think the saleslady is right, we may as well register for something we think looks ok rather than someone picking it for us" and "we'll never use it, I'd rather get another place setting" we left the small vase on the list. Lo and behold, what do we get from his parents? The crystal vase that will only get put out for holiday dinners.
