I hated my Dyson. Granted, I got one of the first "Animal" models, but I found it blew more than it sucked. Cat litter would hit my feet, etc. I got a Miele and never looked back. Plus - no cords! It charges. It's the Mercedes of vacs - no really, the parts are made by Mercedes.

That refrigerator is interesting--even the inside is unique. It's missing a lot of elements that people look for in a refrigerator, though.

I love Miele. They make the greatest appliances. I have a vacuum and washer/dryer from Miele.

I would love to live here. It looks much bigger than it is, and generally photos make places look smaller, so I bet it's even better in person. The most amazing thing is the view. A bed, a potty, and refrigerator would be all I needed--hehe.

I love the idea of one-use-sized toothpaste (considering its quality), but I couldn't live without my Sonicare. Now Sonicare marketing team: take a page out of this manufacture's book!

I use Netflix mostly for Blu-Ray & to stream on my PS3. I use Redbox when I get a free code to use, which if you know where to look, is pretty often; and I use On-Demand sometimes, too!

The only thing offensive about this post and the comments is how extraordinarily rude people are to each other. Name-calling, condescending, holding beliefs as morally superior to others: ICK! The entire mentality of, "someone holds a different opinion - they're wrong and/or there is something wrong with them," makes me ill with its irony and blatant ignorance.

I like beds with frames that touch the floor, but I enjoy the mattresses to be high. I think they feel better crawling into while sleepy than lowering to the ground.

I don't think this is actually meant to be USED to house hamsters. It's much too small, and unless it's the quietest shredded in all the world, it's a sure way to give the hamster a heart attack.

I don't have a TV in my bedroom (though my BF has one in his man cave, in which he sleeps) but I sometimes fall asleep on the sofa in front of the TV.

Housekeeping services are pretty affordable now-a-days. It's about $60/week (upkeep) on average at Merry Maids. If you really hate cleaning, you'll find a way to put that money aside as much as someone who uses it indulging in whatever they enjoy. No big deal.

This isn't my style, but I wish more chairs were on pedestals like this.

It makes me :( when you post pictures of things I want and give no link or info as to where to purchase them. I love that chair. I don't think it would be uncomfortable, but it's not for sleeping in or reading in anyway. In fact, I don't think I'd ever sit in it, for then I wouldn't be able to admire it!

I've always cared what my street name is. I like things to be copacetic and a street name is a big part of the package that is your home & lifestyle. I've always been annoyed that we've have numbered street names until about two years ago, but even though our current street has a 'real' name, it's ugly. I always imagine what someone's home is like based on their street names, but much like apartments, they're almost always beautifully-named to appeal to buyers regardless of what the homes are like.

Also: I feel your pain regarding the tile. I abhor ceramic tile with that much space between them. It feels like it's never clean.

Our landlord is very nice when it comes to upgrades. They won't re-do the floors (wall to wall carpet with ceramic tile in the kitchen BLEH) but they'll take down wallpaper and paint any color we want. If we move to another townhouse here, our deposits moves with us (so it's free, basically). Usually, landlords will let you do any upgrades you want if it's not going to devalue your unit, but then of course, you'd have to pay for it yourself.

Since you're long-time renters, I'd say they owe you an upgrade. It would be worth asking about. And as someone else mentioned, you could ask about moving to one of the upgraded units as well.

What makes the first pink tree is the ornaments. It's like the way I can see a house that is totally not my style but something about it works because it's just so...put together. I would love a pink tree but I don't think I could get the ornaments right.

SkyMall really is what it says: a mall in the sky. The products are all available elsewhere. I think they just find widest variety of things people could own in hopes of having something for everyone. I definitely think it's for older, less tech-savvy people who don't know that they can get it elsewhere for a less ridiculous price.
