I've done great at the outbox/purge, and even made a list of stuff to get rid of in spring, but I haven't cleaned at all. The roof leaked and my bathroom is covered in plaster dust, I haven't cleaned it or the resulting dust tracks through my apartment as when it dries out the landlord will have to scrape the paint off the walls, at the very least. I'm going to clean this weekend though, because I'm sick of stuff sticking to my feet. Oh well if I have to clean it again!

Mushrooms! Seriously...so good.

Whiskey + chocolate baked goods work well. You could also make your own vanilla with it, I really like how my homemade one works in baked goods, especially spicy winter ones (like with molasses)

I stuck a shelf (as in the kind you'd have in your living room) in my closet since it's a rental with plaster walls and putting up shelves would be a nightmare. I originally put it in there last cure to see how I'd do without open shelving in my bedroom. Did great, but I never got rid of the shelf because it's the best thing ever for my closet organization.

IKEA FROST is the way to go. Cheap, ridiculously sturdy. folds up narrow enough to slide into a closet or beside the fridge or something. I can get a huge load of laundry on this thing, from pants to socks

I only have two, but they focus on the picture, not the text: "you are a magical unicorn pony" (unicorn) and "be brave" (little owl with a bow & arrow)

I have lights on either side, which I'd never had before this apartment, and I prefer these. I can turn one on for a normal amount of light, or both if I'm getting ready or something. And they're at the right height.

I live in a concrete box too! I also have ridiculously wide windows, so the massive tension rod for my bedroom window was over $50. I want a pretty curtain rod for my living room but it's going to require a serious drill. And probably more holes than intended, like everything I attempt to hang.

Can't help myself- as a Chicago renter I look at these and just wonder what their rent is, so I'll either feel better about my owen rent/decor combo...or, probably, worse :)

That brick one is just unfair, throw a bed in it and it's one of the most beautiful bedrooms ever. Jealous!

I can't live with carpet, but I don't care if you have it. I grew up in a carpet-free house, so it just feels weird to me. But I also prefer older buildings, and live in a 1908 apartment.
