my apologies! i'm new to the site and wasn't sure how to post apartment questions and found myself here. thank you for your good suggestion. i'm afraid that anything too high might involve construction and would obstruct the view/flow of the room -- making it even smaller than it is. again, sorry for the random post on the community board!! I've been struggling with the decision to move my bed into my small kitchen/living room area. i have approximately 9 feet from my couch to the stove/sink/refrigerator. My bedroom is very large but the layout does not work to have my queen size bed and my couch in the same room. the bedroom has three very large windows and plenty of light. it would make a great living room. my kitchen is like a dungeon and i hate having to stare at my stove all day long. The entrance to my apartment is in the kitchen so it would be strange to walk right in and see a bed and a kitchen!! Does anyone have any ideas how I can accomplish this? Queen size daybeds would make the room look so awkward. I was thinking about a platform bed, lower to the ground, to give the illusion of more space. Any suggestions!?! Pardon Us While We... |
