Looks kind of cool, but only if you pay someone else to do the dusting.

Yes. I have been thinking I needed awnings for the south side. This would be just the ticket.

Depends on the time I have. Sometimes a long roast in the cast iron in the oven, other days the pressure cooker just like Janice m's.

Either way -- delicious.

I go to the blow dryer first. Usually, heating the adhesive lets me pull the label off and then I can scrub the residue.

Have to agree with Tiamat_the_Red on this one. Be informed and spend accordingly. Your consumer vote is the most effective one you have, especially when you let the companies know why you're spending (or especially why you're not spending). The market is so competitive in most areas that companies cannot afford to ignore consumers.

I think this would be great. My city has several recycling services and free recycling drop-off centers all over, so I think it would work pretty well.

The drawbacks of illegal dumping and perhaps people keeping more trash around their premises until they can go dump it somewhere, might be a prohibitive problem though.

I was out at my sister's acreage yesterday and when we took a walk we saw several bags of leaves dumped in the ditches. She was irritated because she along with others who live along the country road have to pick those bags up. So, if illegal dumping increased, it would really be a burden on those who live on the country roads near the city.

Grew up with bedtime snacks of bread and milk topped with syrup. Haven't had it since forever, maybe tonight.

:D Then I won't say anything (pretty new here). I was just wondering what my library would be like and if the pic above used book covers. I'm sure I have a preponderance of black and gray.

Yeah, not sure I care for the way it looks in this photo, but function is its own beauty. My first thought was some sort of trailing, but not bushy, type plant that could create a light screen and help the gap make some sense.

I didn't realize all this. Do you have any links to the bureaucratic info, forms or more detailed information?

I don't make a strict plan because I'm not sure what will be on sale, but I know and track my staples carefully. When I cook, I often make extra portions and freeze them for days when there's no time and we have a Mustgo night each week to make sure leftovers are getting consumed.

And on the leftovers .... if you have kids that don't like to eat them, try putting them on a little menu and taking orders like a restaurant. This can make leftover night fun. Also, package leftovers in serving sizes so they're easy to grab and attractive.

Though we could live w/o the dishwasher, it sure helps keep the kitchen cleaner with less stress. My 3 teens and their friends are good about putting their things in the dishwasher, I suspect compliance might be a little more challenging and costly in terms of water use, if we dispensed with the appliance.

My dryer, however, broke several months ago and I've yet to fix it. I put up 3 lines in my basement. The teens, who have to do their own laundry, are so much less likely to just toss their clothes into the hamper now that it's a little more work and planning to do laundry, they wear their clothes more than 1x, thereby balancing out the water and electricity used by the dishwasher. :)

That sounds delicious, fmktjod. Smoked tomatoes. I don't think I've seen those around here. I wonder if adding a tad of liquid smoke give the same flavor results?

This is great. I would love to see more pix of your bathroom. I have a little cottage and the bath is about the size of yours, maybe, just maybe a tad larger, but I've really been wondering how to handle the space. It's awful now, but you've given me hope.
