Kind of random, but Land of Nod has a bunch of these in their lighting offerings: http://www.landofnod.com/kids-ceiling-fixtures/kids-room-decor/1. Source for Inexpensive Colored Cord Kit? Good Questions |

Lego organization like this just seems like bizarre overkill to me. Half the thrill of Lego building for me was the hunt, for honing my vision and tracking down that elusive, perfect piece. Victory! But we kept our Legos all thrown together in a big bin. LEGO Storage: IKEA Trofast to the RescueI Heart Organizing |

Actually, getting a vintage MCM table isn't a bad idea. Just don't get one that is pristine or that you hope will remain "perfect" for years to come. We bought a walnut MCM table for a reasonable price that is in good but not perfect condition, and knowing it's already seen some living let's me relax about future scratches and bang-ups from my family. When the kids are older, we'll invest in something truly beautiful. Attractive, Family-Friendly Dining Room Tables Good Questions |

Looks like there's a baseboard heater along the length of that wall, so unfortunately a long built-in probably won't work. I do agree that the paint on the dormers is awkward. Either make it all white or all gray down to the floor. I would also lose the curtains and replace them with some gauzy white sheers with no tiebacks (or if you must keep the curtains, tie them up in the center, instead of pulling them off to the side). If you group the plants a little better as suggested, you might also think about making their pots cohesive -- all white, all black, something like that. OK, I spoke too soon. Looks like West Elm doesn't carry the round variety anymore online (though it would be worth checking out clearance stock in-store). An alternative would be World Market -- they always have lots of baskets. In Search of Round Baskets? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy DC |
