Bota Box, which is not only delicious wine, but comes in a sensibly-sized and -shaped box that doesn't take up all the space in your fridge/on your counter.

We have a stainless steel gas Bosch that's been totally reliable for 8 years now. And it still looks as good as new! Sealed burners make it really easy to clean. Looks like the current models are running about $1k.

We’ve had one since redoing our kitchen in 2005, and I love it. It makes a perfect roast chicken, crispy browned skin and all, and in just 18 minutes (for a small bird). I rarely use my ordinary oven, which is good since I store pots and pans in there.

I was a concessionaire from 1989-1990, and the general manager of a multiplex from 1992-1996. From AT LEAST the late 1980s, movie posters were shipped to theatres rolled in tubes and did not need to be folded. I say at least because the basement of my first theatre was filled with tubes of old posters, several years' worth at minimum.

I've still got the poster shown above, which I framed and hung in my office. It was subsequently autographed by Dick Dale (whose music is a highlight of the great soundtrack) when he and his band stopped in for a movie on their way out of town after a gig.

I thought I was a person who loves books.

Turns out I'm a person who loves reading, as I discovered when my husband bought me a Kindle as a hoiday gift.

Over 15 years of moves, I'd gradually streamlined my possessions, including books. But now I've stripped my collection down to a small number of favorites, plus some that are rare or out of print.

My husband, of course, is another matter entirely. Which is why the room that should be a playroom for our small sons is practically wall-to-wall books. And I don't just mean on the shelves.

Politics, schmolitics. It's stunning.

Incidentally, archaological investigations have confirmed that the city was occupied by 7500 BCE; it is believed to have been founded by Japhet, son of Noah (of ark fame). In the intervening years, it's also been governed by the Egyptians (who first invaded in 1468 BCE), the Philistines, the Crusaders, and the Turks.

Ours is sandblasted onto our single pane transom; glass etching cream could do the same job.

I wouldn't consider marrow to be offal, no. It's like obscenity - it's in the eye of the beholder.

Given that the penny tile pattern is staggered, not parallel the way Chinadoll depicts, to avoid the corners shown above, you'll either end up cutting tiles in half, or leaving more grout:

I really like the new look, and while I'm all in favor of retaining vintage material when appropriate, the color of the old tiles was hideous. The new is bright and clean.

Ditch the Panton chairs and the tower thing adjacent to the l-shaped bench. The artwork is cool, but undersized for that wall. Try hanging it vertically on the small wall, and get something big and bright for the other wall.

The spelling varies - it's a transliteration, after all. But blini is the most commonly used/accepted spelling, perhaps because ending with a y suggests that the would would be pronounced bligh-nee, rather than the correct blee-nee.
