I agree on the white... that would look beautiful. That is a beautiful paint colour - I wouldn't change it either.

No - What worked for us was to use small plastic bags to wrap each diaper in (same concept as the diaper genie). We would use leftover grocery bags, but dog waste bags would work too.

This contained the smell really well, and we just put them in the kitchen trash that goes out daily anyways.

I'm a little late to the party, but I just came up with a great idea!

With 3 kids, I am always stashing presents here and there, and sometimes forget where I put them - until I just looked at the empty box for the Christmas tree!!! It's the perfect size to hide everything - now I can even just go to one place to check on what I've already bought and make sure it's somewhat even..

I just scored an old Barbie Doll clothes pattern at a yard sale this weekend!

I would hope that my child's teacher would think of the thought that went into a gift from a child and be gracious, even if they had already received a hundred of the same. Maybe the child picked out the cute mug with the apple on it..

I don't think that there are, or should be rules on what to give - a gift is from the heart. I like the input from the teachers on how important a written thank-you note is - this is something that we often overlook, but really, it is quite meaningful isn't it?

On especially stressed days, I like to stick the kids in the bath, roll up my pants and stick my feet in the bath. I give them some body wash and a cloth and let them 'wash' my feet. It is fun as well as super relaxing. Just pull up a chair and let'em go at it.

You need to have a little fun as a child - so you don't grow up to be a miserable adult! ;)

LOVE the pancakes! What a fun idea, especially with all this winter weather - I think I'll make them on Sunday morning, which just happens to be my 4 year old daughter's birthday!!

Looks good, but what do you do with the water at the bottom of the rocks? Seems like it would be a real pain to clean out.

I think that if it is used as a special occasion type thing, then why not?
There is much more to a mani/pedi than just painting one's nails - in many other cultures it is much more common to receive spa services on a more regular basis.

That being said, I don't allow my daughter to wear makeup - I don't even like lipgloss. I would rather that she wear professional makeup when the time comes, instead of the cheap stuff that is marketed to girls her age.

I think that a treat like having a spa service is something for her to look forward to. Having a taste of it when she is young will help to teach her to take care of herself and hopefully she will get a job when she is old enough, and keep it up. There is nothing wrong with working hard and rewarding yourself. Of course it is not a necessity - but I want her to want to work hard enough in life to afford life's luxuries.

Beautiful Chore chart!!!

I plan to have it laminated, and have a separate sheet for stickers. We will do check marks on the chart which will be added up for stickers, which will have a reward for a certain number of stickers.

I love the layout of this chart!!

We got our Swinxs a couple weeks ago - and I have to say, my kids are the envy of the block! They absolutely love it. I love how it organizes all the games - it also picks who goes first based on the colour of the wristband - No fighting!!! It is simple enough that my 3 year old can play, yet fun enough that my 8 and 10 year olds want to play as well.
I love that it is portable, so we can take it with us - and it really engages the kids in a physical activity - which helps to bring them together.
I highly recommend the Swinxs!!

Why not get someone to print it out on vinyl lettering? It's easy to apply, and when you want a change, you just peel it off with no damage to the wall.

I love the quote by the way. I may do this for my son's room.
