Can we all promise to keep updating this list!? I love the recommendations! Men Who Swim was hilarious! Thanks, Cece! I will add:

Stephen Fry in America - A Brit taking a cross-country trip trying to understand American culture. The episode about the South is especially good and attending the Auburn-Alabama football game is a highlight.

It's outdated now, but Sound and Fury is also excellent. Two families (one deaf, one hearing) debating whether to get their children cochlear implants.

King of Kong (which unfortunately you can't stream anymore) reminded me of Word Wars. It's the film companion to Stephan Fatssis' hilarious book Word Freak about competitive Scrabble. I adore that book but once I got a visual of GI Joel, I had to stop watching it! :)

For all you Foodies, El Bulli: Cooking in Progress and Kings of Pastry are both really good.

Page One: Inside the NY Times and (despite an annoying Werner Herzog) Cave of Forgotten Dreams are also really good.

There used to be a great blog called Netlix Instant Movies That Don't Suck. I wish the editor would post again!

Oh good lord just use it. Or if you are the kind of person who asks this question, maybe your should go ahead and buy a new one. Our economy needs boosting. My daughter is using a booster whose original owner is now in middle school. My son is in a 6 year old convertible. There are 'guidelines' and then there is real life.

The toy holders always seem to be too small too. I just bought a large mesh laundry bag with drawstring at Target. All the toys go in and I hang it on the towel bar in the shower or over the shower head. Works like a champ and holds our many, many toys.

Does anyone have experience raising bees when your neighbors spray for mosquitos? Neighbors on both sides hire a service to spray that awful stuff monthly (and it's broad-spectrum meaning it kills all bugs). Should I just give up this dream?

if it's helpful, I just bought the desk from this Drexel line for $350 including the chair. It was craigslist not a dealer, and it's in excellent condition.

Why is everyone waxing nostalgic about family dinners? Very few of these photos are of families with children. Yes, a jammied-mom with her baby, a toddler eating take-out, a woman clearly skype-ing with a loved one while she eats with her child.

Most of these pics are of single and coupled NYCers. I'm shocked anyone is eating at home in the first place. Don't you know you should be eating fabulous dinners in real restaurants before it costs $50 to pay a babysitter! This is your future speaking! Act now!

I also wish there was a "non-artsy" picture of this desk. I can't appreciate it fully the way it's presented.

AAAKid: Consumer Reports says canister vacs for hardwoods. Their "best buy" is the Kenmore Progressive. I have had one for 3 years, have only hardwood and tile, and love it! There is usually some sort of sale and you can get extra $$ off with a Sears card.

As for the "don't use vacuums on hardwoods", with the Progressive you can turn the beaters off.
